About SMART

SMART is a not-for-profit organization working across health, gender, climate change, and community media. We are looking for a creative and experienced Senior Video Editor to join our communications team and produce compelling visual content that drives social impact.



Role Overview

As a Senior Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality videos for social media, documentaries, campaigns, podcasts, events, and other digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller with excellent technical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Edit documentaries, podcasts, campaign videos, reels, promotional videos, and other multimedia content.
Collaborate with communications and programme teams to develop engaging visual stories.
Perform colour correction, audio editing and mixing, motion graphics, subtitle integration, and final exports.
Optimize content for platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high-quality production standards.
Organize and manage video assets, project files, and editing workflows.
Mentor and support junior editors whenever required.


Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film, Media, Animation, Mass Communication, or a related field.
4–7 years of professional video editing experience.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition.
Strong understanding of motion graphics, colour grading, sound design, and post-production workflows.
Experience creating content for digital and social media platforms.
Excellent storytelling, creativity, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the NGO, development, media, or social impact sector.
Familiarity with documentary storytelling and impact-driven communication.
