Roles and Responsibilities of a Project Coordinator
1. Project Planning and Implementation
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities according to approved work plans.
• Support timely implementation of project interventions and milestones.
• Ensure project activities align with donor requirements and organizational policies.
• Assist in preparing annual, quarterly, and monthly implementation plans.
2. Stakeholder Coordination
• Build and maintain relationships with government departments, local partners, community-based organizations, and beneficiaries.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
• Facilitate communication among project team members and partner organizations.
3. Community Engagement
• Mobilize communities and promote participation in project activities.
• Organize awareness campaigns, training sessions, and community meetings.
• Support beneficiary identification and selection following project criteria.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
• Collect, verify, and compile project data.
• Track project indicators and progress against targets.
• Support field monitoring visits and beneficiary assessments.
• Assist in documenting lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
5. Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
• Maintain accurate project records, files, and documentation.
• Document meeting minutes, training reports, and field visit reports.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to project management and donors.
6. Budget and Resource Management
• Assist in tracking project expenditures against budgets.
• Coordinate procurement requests and logistics for project activities.
• Monitor efficient use of project resources.
• Support financial documentation and compliance processes.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Experience coordinating development or livelihood projects.
• Knowledge of community development, agriculture, livestock, value chain development, women's economic empowerment, or climate-smart agriculture.
• Experience working with NGOs, donor-funded projects, or international development organizations.

2. Roles and Responsibilities of a FPO Manager
1. FPO Development and Strengthening
• Support the establishment, registration, and operationalization of FPOs.
• Strengthen institutional governance and management systems.
• Develop strategic and annual business plans.
• Ensure the FPO operates in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
2. Governance and Compliance
• Organize and facilitate Board of Directors (BoD) and General Body meetings.
• Ensure statutory compliance, including maintenance of registers and statutory records.
• Support implementation of board resolutions and governance policies.
• Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices.
3. Business Planning and Enterprise Development
• Develop profitable business models for the FPO.
• Identify new business opportunities and value-added enterprises.
• Prepare annual business plans, budgets, and financial projections.
• Monitor business performance and profitability.
4. Market Linkages
• Establish relationships with buyers, processors, wholesalers, retailers, and exporters.
• Facilitate aggregation, grading, packaging, and marketing of agricultural produce.
• Negotiate competitive prices and long-term supply agreements.
• Analyze market trends and share market intelligence with farmers.
5. Input and Service Management
• Coordinate procurement and distribution of quality agricultural inputs.
• Facilitate access to farm machinery, storage, transportation, and advisory services.
• Ensure timely availability of inputs to member farmers.
6. Financial Management
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets.
• Track revenues, expenses, and cash flow.
• Coordinate with accountants for bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Promote financial sustainability through diversified income sources.

7. Capacity Building
• Organize training for Board members, staff, and farmer members.
• Strengthen leadership, business management, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship skills.
• Promote adoption of improved agricultural and livestock practices.
8. Member Mobilization and Engagement
• Increase FPO membership and member participation.
• Address member grievances and encourage inclusive decision-making.
• Promote participation of women, youth, and marginalized communities.
• Ensure members receive quality services and business benefits.
9. Value Chain Development
• Identify opportunities for value addition and processing.
• Coordinate post-harvest management activities.
• Support quality assurance, grading, packaging, branding, and certification initiatives.
• Improve efficiency across the agricultural value chain.
10. Partnership and Stakeholder Management
• Coordinate with government departments, financial institutions, NGOs, agribusiness companies, and technical agencies.
• Facilitate access to government schemes and subsidies.
• Build partnerships for technology transfer, investment, and market expansion.
11. Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
• Monitor achievement of business and project targets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
• Maintain records of procurement, sales, membership, training, and business operations.
• Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.

• Knowledge of agricultural value chains, rural enterprise development, and market systems.
• Experience in donor-funded rural development or livelihood projects.
