Job Description – Community Mobilizer

**Project:** Strengthening Climate-Resilient Water Security and Ecological Resilience
**Location:** Jodhpur & Phalodi, Rajasthan
**Position:** Community Mobilizer
**No. of Positions:** 1
**Reporting To:** Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

* Mobilize and engage community members across the 5 project villages.
* Facilitate formation and strengthening of Water User Groups (WUGs), with one WUG planned per village.
* Conduct village-level meetings, awareness sessions and community consultations.
* Facilitate community participation in pond rejuvenation and water resource management activities.
* Support community involvement in construction and utilization of water harvesting structures.
* Mobilize farmers for climate-resilient agriculture and livelihood interventions.
* Support demonstrations and training related to micro-irrigation, vermicomposting, multi-layer farming and improved agricultural practices.
* Facilitate community training on surface water management, repair and maintenance of structures and irrigation water management.
* Coordinate with Gram Panchayats, community representatives, farmers, WUG members and other stakeholders.
* Maintain beneficiary/community records, meeting registers, attendance and activity documentation.
* Capture and maintain field photographs, videos, success stories and community-level case studies.
* Identify community-level challenges and communicate them to the Project Manager.
* Support monitoring of adoption and use of project interventions.
* Assist in project reporting by providing village-level data and activity updates.
* Support community ownership and sustainability of project assets and interventions.

Key Deliverables

* Functional and strengthened WUGs in project villages.
* Effective community participation in project activities.
* Timely mobilization of beneficiaries and farmers.
* Proper documentation of meetings, trainings and community activities.
* Support for sustainable use and maintenance of project interventions.

Qualification & Experience

* Graduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Agriculture, Development Studies or a related field.
* **Minimum 2–3 years of relevant field experience** in community mobilization, rural development, CSR or NGO projects.
* Experience working with rural communities, farmers, SHGs/WUGs or Panchayats will be preferred.
* Strong local communication and field-mobilization skills.

Remuneration
