Position Description:
SARANI invites applications for the position of Accountant. The role requires handling organizational accounts and financial documentation to support project supervision and documentation. The candidate should be capable of managing office-based accounting work while also coordinating with field teams.

Key Responsibilities:
The Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation, including-
* Maintaining day-to-day accounts, vouchers, bills, and financial records
* Processing payments, receipts and accounting transactions.
* Maintaining books of accounts and accounting records in Tally/accounting software.
* Managing bank transactions and bank reconciliations.
* Preparing and recording journal, payment and receipt vouchers.
* Processing payroll and maintaining payroll records in coordination with HR.
* Managing vendor bills, payments and account reconciliations.
* Maintaining cash books, ledgers and financial documentation.
* Ensuring timely and accurate accounting entries.
* Maintaining physical and digital filing of financial records.
* Coordinating with programme teams to obtain complete financial documentation.
* Supporting month-end and year-end financial closing.
* Assisting during internal, statutory and donor audits.
* Ensuring proper documentation and filing of financial and project records
* Verifying field-level expenses and cross-check supporting documents
* Collecting field reports, photographs, and beneficiary data

Eligibility & Experience
Educational Qualification: B.Com / M.Com
Experience:
• Prior experience in the development sector is required
• Experience in NGO accounts (book-keeping and financial documentation will be an added advantage)
• Basic Knowledge of TALLY

Salary: 15000 (Negotiable)
