MAMTA HIMC is implementing a project with a focus on addressing calcium deficiency across the life cycle to complement the existing policies in Bisrakh Block (Gautam Buddh Nagar, UP) and Dhar/Indore (MP). Currently, MAMTA-HIMC is looking for a suitable candidate in the capacity of Community Mobiliser, four in in Bisrakh Block (Gautam Buddh Nagar, UP) and four in Dhar/Indore (MP).
The Community Mobiliser will be responsible for the on ground program implementation. They will work under the guidance of project coordinator, ensure timely achievement of project targets, facilitate checklist-based screening for calcium deficiency and referral activities, and ensure timely reporting of all project activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Perform mapping of AWCs and FLWs of selected anganwadis.
• Conduct household and community visits to identify target beneficiaries of the program.
• Perform checklist-based screening, for calcium deficiency in coordination with health and ICDS department.
• Facilitate referrals for beneficiaries identified as requiring further testing and support them in completing testing and accessing appropriate services.
• Conduct follow-up with referred beneficiaries and maintain records of screening, referral, testing and follow-up activities.
• Conduct community engagement activities (Poshan Gardens, healthy recipe demonstrations, calcium-rich thali activities etc) in coordination with ASHA and AWW to raise awareness on calcium and Vitamin D deficiency.
• Prepare daily/weekly field plans and submit regular updates, beneficiary data, success stories, field challenges and learnings to the supervisor.
• Share field-level challenges, beneficiary concerns and implementation issues with supervisors for timely action.
• Maintain prescribed records and support frontline workers in keeping beneficiary information updated and accurate.
• Participate in review meetings and share progress, challenges and field-level learnings with fellow Community Mobilisers.
Qualifications, Experience, And Competencies:
• Graduate with a minimum of one to two years of work experience in community engagement.
• Experience working in the Public Health will be given preference.
• Good written and communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Good computer skills, especially in MS Office and data entry.
• Willingness to travel in the field to support project activities.
• Ability to accomplish tasks within time limits.
