Grameen Development Services (GDS) was established in the year 1993 aiming at socio-economic empowerment of poor and disadvantaged section of society particularly women living in the areas of structural poverty in India through promoting and strengthening the livelihoods. Over a period of more than three decades, GDS emerged as a successful grass-root level professional NGO in the country. Its various livelihood focused initiatives have impacted the lives of approx. 1.5 lakhs rural households in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan. Throughout its development trajectory, GDS has consistently responded to bring the social and development transformation for improving quality of life of people living in these areas. For the purpose, GDS as a learning organization gained relevant experiences by implementing various projects supported by renowned national and international funding agencies.

GDS is initiating a project titled “Promoting integrated climate-resilient farming systems that enables strengthening livelihoods of marginal and smallholding farmers in Runni Saidpur Block of District Sitamarhi, Bihar” covering 3000 small and marginal farming households in Runni Saidpur block of Sitamarhi district. Currently, GDS invites application from suitable candidates for the following vacant positions in the above project;

Job Profile
Experienced in maintaining Project’s accounts, grant management, prepare all financial and physical progress data using relevant software, MS Word, Excel and other MS Office version, data entry work in any establishment preferably in development projects implemented in rural areas. She/he will be the key person for field data entry and management at project level serving feedback to Project Manager on regular basis. S/he will collect all relevant information from Field Coordinators & CRPs and also other sources which support for generating Project level periodic financial & MIS reports and documentation for funding agency and GDS HO.

Location – Runni Saidpur block, Sitamarhi (Bihar)

Salary – Rs. 35,000/- per month

Qualification and experiences
• Preferably post graduate in commerce
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintaining accounts, grant management and data on physical progress in any reputed firm/establishment
• Good computer efficiency in Tally, MS Office, Excel and data analysis software’s
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)
