Job Title: Project Engineer – Water Security in Tea Estates

Location: Nonoi/ Samaguri, Nagaon district, Assam (with travel to Tea Estate project locations)
Salary Range: ?35,000 – ?40,000 per month including PF, Gratuity and Medical Insurance
Job Purpose:
The Project Engineer will provide technical planning, design, supervision, and coordination support for CML's water security program in Tea Estates. The role involves close collaboration with Tea Estate management, field teams, and communities to ensure high-quality, compliant, and sustainable water harvesting infrastructure delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Planning & Design
• Prepare, review, and finalize civil and structural designs for water harvesting and water security structures in Tea Estates.
• Develop drawings, layouts, and BOQs using AutoCAD and other relevant design tools.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant technical and safety standards.
Implementation & Supervision
• Provide on-site technical supervision during construction, installation, and commissioning of water security systems.
• Monitor quality of civil works and ensure adherence to approved designs, timelines, and safety norms.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and field teams for smooth execution.
Coordination & Representation
• Represent CML in technical meetings with Tea Estate management and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Tea Estate officials during project planning and execution.
• Visit Tea Estate locations and CML Head Office as required for reviews, reporting, and coordination.
Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare technical reports, site inspection notes, progress updates, and completion documents.
• Support preparation of proposals, technical notes, and presentations related to water security infrastructure.
• Assist in audits and evaluations as needed.
Innovation & System Improvement
• Provide technical inputs to improve design efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of water harvesting structures in Tea Estates.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in:
? Water security / water harvesting projects
? Rural infrastructure or agriculture-allied infrastructure projects
Strong working knowledge of:
? AutoCAD
? BOQ preparation, estimation, and site supervision
• Experience working with Tea Estate management or similar multi-stakeholder settings is desirable.

• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities
• Willingness to travel extensively within Assam
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites
• Familiarity with water security and groundwater-related projects will be an advantage
