About the Project

Jagrati Yuwa Manch Sanstha, in partnership with Birla Corporation Limited, is implementing a multi-sectoral Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) project across 5 villages near Itoura Mines. The project focuses on key thematic areas: Safe Drinking Water (Water ATMs/Borewells), Preventive Healthcare & Sanitation, Rural Infrastructure (School Toilets), Livelihood & Skill Development, Sports Promotion, Renewable Energy (Solar Lights), and Road Safety awareness.

Job Purpose

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and multi-stakeholder management of all the CER interventions. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery of infrastructure, robust community participation, and seamless coordination with government bodies and corporate stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation of Water ATMs, solar pumps, school toilets, and solar street lights. Supervise the civil work for pond deepening and rejuvenation across target villages.
• Community Mobilization: Form and build the capacity of Village Water Management Committees, Village Sports Committees, School Health Clubs, and Road Safety Committees to ensure project sustainability.
• Livelihood & Training Coordination: Facilitate skill development training for 30 rural youth (trades like driving, electrical, computer, etc.) and coordinate farm-based livelihood programs for 200+ farmers.
• Health & Awareness Campaigns: Organize general health check-up camps, distribution of Swachhata kits, school-based hygiene programs, and road safety training camps.
• Stakeholder Liasoning: Coordinate seamlessly with Gram Panchayats, School Management Committees (SMCs), ASHA/Anganwadi workers, District Sports Department, Traffic Police, and local government bodies (NRLM, Agriculture Dept.).
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track key project indicators (e.g., water quality compliance, plant survival rates, reduction in waterborne diseases). Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, MIS documentation, and case studies for submission to Birla Corp management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Master’s in Social Work (MSW), MBA in Rural Management, Post Graduate in Sustainable Development, or related social science field.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in managing multi-sectoral NGO projects or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR/CER) initiatives.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of community-led infrastructure models (Water ATMs, Solar, O&M). Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting.
• Soft Skills: Excellent local networking, vendor management, and fluent communication skills in Hindi and professional English reporting.
