Urban Chapter Manager (Meal Packaging Program & NGO, Corporate and Volunteer Coordination) 
 
Location –Bangalore /Hyderabad 
 
Reports to – Sr. Manager Meal Packaging Programs 
 
CTC Range- Up to 8 LPA (Commensurate with skills, experience, and suitability for the role.)

The mission of the organization is to nourish lives, empower communities, respond to emergencies and grow the movement towards ending hunger.  With the headquarters in Bangalore and Offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad & Bhubaneswar, Rise Against Hunger India also works in some of the most remote hard-to-reach locations in Odisha & Jharkhand where Cluster & Field Offices have been set up to work with communities.   
 
Our core program is meal packaging events where volunteers package nutritious meals that are distributed to communities in need. 
 
Meal Packaging Event Overview 
Meal packaging events are high-energy, assembly-line volunteering experiences where groups (typically 40–100+ participants) collaborate to package thousands of nutritious meals within a few hours. Volunteers rotate across stations to measure, fill, seal, and pack meals, while the facilitator ensures smooth flow, quality, and engagement. Responsibilities 
 
1. Meal Packaging & Urban Program Management (Core Responsibility) 
  • Lead and manage meal packaging activities, the core program in urban chapters. 
  • Plan and execute events with corporate and community volunteers. 
  • Supervise and support a team of ~3 members to ensure smooth execution. 
  • Oversee logistics, planning, and coordination for all meal packaging events. 
  • Identify and onboard NGO partners for meal distribution. 
  • Coordinate with NGOs, conduct field visits, and ensure effective distribution. 
  • Prepare and maintain all reports related to events, distribution, and partnerships.  
2. Administrative Oversight 
  • Oversee overall program activities and daily operations in Hyderabad. 
  • Ensure smooth office administration and coordination across functions. 
3. Corporate Volunteer Engagement 
  • Organize and facilitate employee engagement activities with corporate partners. 
  • Coordinate end-to-end planning and backend arrangements for meal packaging events.  
4. Volunteer Engagement 
  • Mobilize students, youth, and community volunteers for programs and campaigns. 
  • Support engagement during events like community volunteering drives and Hunger Action Month. 
5. Partner Management 
  • Maintain strong relationships with NGO partners supported by the organization. 
  • Identify and onboard new partners based on eligibility criteria.  
6. Nutrition Education in Schools 
  • Build partnerships with schools and colleges for nutrition education sessions. 
  • Support student engagement through certificates and recognition programs.  
7. Donor Reporting 
  • Coordinate with the team to prepare and submit timely donor.  
Qualifications 
  • Master degree with 4 to 5 years of experience Prior experience in handling volunteering and campaigns 
  • Prior experience with NGOs not a must if the candidate has done personal volunteering 
  • Experience in event management/facilitation, hosting and facilitating events 
  • Good command over verbal and written communication in English 
  • Able to work without much daily supervision and oversight 
  • Willingness to proactively explore new avenues and build new connections
