Job Purpose:
The Focal Person – Youth Program, plays a critical role in supporting the Youth Program Coordinator for the successful transition of (older Children – Age group 15 – 17 + years) young adults (aged 15-23) from Loreto Rainbow Homes care program and also extending support 18+ to 23 years young adults into independent living. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the annual plan, tracking young adult progress, managing financial requests, and ensuring their well-being. • '

Key Responsibilities:

1. Annual Plan Implementation (15-23 Years age group): .
• Ensure the implementation of the annual plan designed to support young adults (15 – 23 years of age) in areas like education, career development, life-skills, and independent living.
• Develop and monitor individual action plans for each young adult.
• Coordinate and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other activities outlined in the annual plan.

2. Young Adult Tracking
• Regularly monitor the progress of young adults, including education, employment, health, and overall well-being.
• Identify and address any challenges or roadblocks young adults may face.
• Maintain comprehensive individual data on each young adult.

3. Financial Management
• Ensure timely submission of young adult financial requests by the 25th of each month.
• Work with relevant departments to process and manage financial resources for young adults.
• Track expenses and maintain financial records.

4 Outreach and Support
• Conduct regular visits to young adult accommodations and colleges as needed.
• Advocate for the entitlements and well-being of young adults.
• Provide emotional and practical support to young adults as they navigate independence.

5 Communication and Reporting
• Develop and submit quarterly newsletters highlighting the progress, achievements, and challenges of young adults.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with young adults, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on young adult progress.

6. Safeguarding and Protection
• Implement and comply with child safeguarding and protection standards.
• Identify and report any concerns related to abuse, neglect, or exploitation as per organizational protocols.

7. Conflict Resolution and Crisis Management
• Manage behavioral challenges and conflicts using non-violent and child-sensitive approaches.
• Provide immediate support during emergencies or crisis situations.
• Work closely with counsellors and management to address critical cases.

8. Team Participation and Capacity Building
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and capacity-building programs.
• Support orientation and awareness sessions for youth on rights, responsibilities, and life skills.
• Contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives for young adults.
• Assist the City Desk with tasks related to young adult support when required.
• Stay informed about relevant policies and resources for young adults.

Qualifications and Experience
• Education: Post graduate/Graduate in Social Work/ Psychology/Development Studies or related field
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth engagement programs, field-based program coordination, preferably with vulnerable children, girls, or shelter home environments
• Skills and Competencies:
• Experience in youth engagement and coordination of community development programs
• Knowledge of local youth issues and policies
• Training in child/youth safeguarding
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate, mentor, and work effectively with young people
• Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if required

safety, dignity, and rights of girls at all times.
