Key Responsibilities
1. Child Engagement (70%)
• Conduct regular direct work with children across age groups.
o Class Teacher / Class Owner responsibilities
o Life Skills facilitation (socio-emotional skills, communication, decision-making, values)
o Gender & Sexuality education sessions
o Exposure visits, projects, group processes
o Individual Counseling
• Design and plan Life Skills and Gender & Sexuality content, sessions, and training modules (for self and teachers).
• Maintain child profiles, class records, and child-wise engagement trackers (Excel-based).
• Provide individual support for children with academic, behavioural, emotional, or socio-economic challenges.
• Support teachers and programme teams with attendance tracking and follow-up processes.
• Facilitate and manage assemblies, events, and class engagements.
• Participate in the child-wise review process, identifying and tracking actions for both children and families.
2. Parent Engagement
• Conduct individual meetings, home visits, and regular follow-ups.
• Build strong parent relationships to ensure consistent involvement in the child’s learning journey.
• Design, plan, and implement Parent Engagement activities including:
o Individual PTMs
o Group PTMs
o Parent circles / events
o Vision-building discussions
• Support families facing challenges related to education, wellbeing, or economic stress.
• Maintain documentation, trackers, and follow-up records.
3. Teacher Engagement
• Enable teachers through training and handholding on:
o Child-wise engagement
o Life Skills
o Class Teacher responsibilities
• Hold regular individual meetings with teachers for review, support, and tracking of actions.
• Contribute to teacher-wise and class-wise review processes.
4. Programme-Level Responsibilities
• Participate in planning and review meetings across School Programme and After School Support Programme.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to build a safe, motivating, and growth-oriented environment for children and families.
• Continuously work towards building a culture of positive reinforcement, empathy, and holistic development.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
Must-Have
• 4–5+ years of hands-on experience in direct child and parent engagement, specifically in:
o Life Skills
o Gender & Sexuality
o Exposure & Projects
o Vision-building/long-term family engagement
(Not limited to mobilisation; must include regular daily work with children and parents.)
• Counseling qualification / certification / experience is preferable – however the role is not limited to just counseling
• Strong ability to engage with multiple age groups (children and adolescents).
• Deep commitment to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to design positive, strengths-based reinforcement strategies for children and families.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently, and attention to child-wise detailing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook) and digital documentation.
Preferable
• Experience in the development sector, especially in education with low-income communities.
• Strong planning and documentation abilities.
• Good command over English and Hindi—both written and spoken.
Other Requirements
• Daily physical presence at assigned centres (Monday–Saturday).
(Non-working Saturdays and Sundays are off.)
• Candidates with previous NGO experience will be given preference.
• Candidates residing in Noida or nearby areas preferred.
• Salary: Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and social-sector norms.
