Karl Kübel Foundation for Child and Family (KKF) is a Section 8 (Non-Profit) company that works to strengthen families, promote child wellbeing, and support inclusive community development. Through the Karl Kübel Institute for Development (KKID), the organisation also serves as a training and knowledge hub, delivering capacity-building programmes for NGOs, government agencies, and development practitioners.
To support the growth of our programmes and partnerships, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Coordinator to help expand our training initiatives and mobilise resources.
Position Overview
The Business Development Coordinator will support resource mobilisation and partnership development for KKF/KKID. The role focuses on:
- Marketing and expanding training and capacity-building programmes with NGOs, Government and the Private sector
- Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, Preparing concept notes and project proposals
- Building relationships with donors, CSR partners, and development organisations
- Support the Programmes, Training and Research teams in identifying opportunities and way forward
The ideal candidate combines marketing skills with strong proposal-writing ability and a passion for social development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Promote and market KKID’s training programmes to NGOs, CSR foundations, academic institutions, and government departments.
- Identify funding opportunities from foundations, CSR initiatives, and development agencies in line with KKF’s strategy and vision
- Prepare high-quality concept notes, grant proposals, and partnership briefs.
- Support development of new partnerships and institutional collaborations.
- Maintain a pipeline of potential donors and training clients.
- Coordinate internally with programme and finance teams for proposal development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in business development, strategic communications, fundraising, proposal writing, or programme development.
- Experience in the NGO/development sector or Traning institutions preferred.
- Preferably located in South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala)
Key Skills
- Strong proposal writing and concept note development skills
- Experience in marketing or promoting training programmes
- Understanding of tendering, CSR funding and development donors
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Team player and good sense of humour
