Position Summary
Back to Village is looking for a Technical Expert with experience in Solar Energy Systems to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of renewable energy solutions in rural areas. The candidate will help communities adopt solar-powered technologies for agriculture, irrigation, and household energy needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Planning & Implementation
• Design and implement solar energy systems for rural projects (solar pumps, solar lighting, mini grids).
• Assess energy requirements of communities and recommend suitable solar solutions.

2. Installation & Maintenance
• Supervise installation of solar panels, batteries, and related equipment.
• Ensure proper maintenance and troubleshooting of solar systems.

3. Training & Capacity Building
• Train local technicians and community members on solar system usage and basic maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams.

4. Project Monitoring
• Monitor performance of installed solar systems.
• Prepare technical reports and progress updates.

5. Coordination
• Work with vendors, engineers, and project teams.
• Support procurement of solar equipment.

Qualification
• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of solar panel installation and renewable energy systems.
• Ability to work in field locations and rural areas.
• Basic knowledge of technical documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience
• 2-5 years of experience in solar energy or electrical work.
• Experience in renewable energy projects.
