Tarun Bharat Sangh ( www.tarunbharatsangh.in ), founded in 1975 and inspired by the Waterman of India ~ Shri Rajendra Singh, is a grassroots non-profit dedicated to water conservation, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, and the rejuvenation of traditional ecological knowledge. With over five decades of experience in community-led development, TBS has revived rivers, built thousands of water harvesting structures, and empowered marginalized rural communities across India.
Position Overview
The Project Executive will be responsible for the execution, and monitoring of community-based natural resource management and water conservation projects. The role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with an ability to work closely with local communities, government bodies, and donors to ensure the timely and impactful implementation of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead implementation and monitoring of project activities related to water conservation, agriculture, and climate resilience
• Coordinate with field teams to facilitate smooth execution of project components
• Conduct and monitor field visits, need-assessments and baseline data collection for project locations
• Ensure documentation of processes, case studies, success stories, and timely submission of reports
• Maintain financial discipline and ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements
• Track project progress through measurable indicators and prepare fortnightly/ monthly and quarterly progress reports
• Support proposal writing, donor reporting, and external communication for resource mobilization
• Represent TBS at meetings, workshops, and stakeholder platforms
Qualifications and Skills:
• Postgraduate degree in Rural Development, MSW, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, or a related field
• Understanding of rainwater harvesting, sustainable agriculture, and community-led development
• Ability in project planning, team coordination, budgeting, and impact reporting
• Excellent communication skills in Hindi (essential) and English (preferred)
• Ability to travel extensively to rural areas and work in challenging field conditions
• Commitment to the values of community empowerment, environmental sustainability, and Gram Swaraj
