Location: Mumbai (Should be open to travel across Maharashtra)

About Paani Foundation
Paani Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2016, working to make farmers in rural Maharashtra drought-free, prosperous, and resilient. With landmark initiatives like the Water Cup and the Farmer Cup, Paani has worked with lakhs of farmers across the state, enabling them to adopt sustainable agricultural practices, improve productivity, and increase income.
About the Role
Paani Foundation’s core initiative, the Farmer Cup competition, collectivises farmers into gats or groups, enables them to farm unitedly and scientifically, and improve productivity and incomes. Since 2022, over 5,500 groups have been specially formed across Maharashtra to participate in the Farmer Cup. Over 3 lakh farmers have been impacted positively.

We’re looking for a Livelihoods Manager to work with active farmer groups on incubating and implementing livelihood-enhancing opportunities, and to operationalise each initiative end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
Manage ongoing livelihood opportunities and partnerships - including creating efficient implementation systems, and M&E systems for each initiative

Present proposals to farmer groups and create demand-generation mechanisms to capture and track interest and implementation for each initiative

Coordinate closely with partner organisations, the Paani Foundation field team, and farmers to ensure smooth implementation

Oversee timelines, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure successful execution

Manage and analyse data related to farmer participation and partnership outcomes

This is a highly hands-on, execution-focused role that involves extensive coordination, problem-solving, and phone-based communication.

Who You Are
Fluent and confident communicator in Marathi and English
Mumbai-based, with willingness to spend at least 5-7 days per month on field
Skilled in Excel and AI-based tools for data management, reporting, and communication
Highly organised, proactive and passionate about rural transformation
