About the Role:

Samriddhi Goat Farm is looking for an experienced professional to manage and oversee feed production operations for goats and cattle. The position involves feed formulation, manufacturing, quality control, and process optimization to ensure high-quality and nutritionally balanced feed for livestock.

The selected candidate will play a strategic role in improving animal nutrition, enhancing livestock productivity, maintaining feed quality standards, and implementing efficient feed production processes. The role requires close collaboration with farm management and veterinary teams to support overall farm performance and sustainable livestock development.

Role Overview:

The Feed Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring feed production activities, ensuring consistent quality standards, and developing cost-effective feed solutions to improve livestock health and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Feed Production & Formulation

* Develop and manufacture nutritionally balanced feed formulations for goats and cattle.
* Design feed compositions based on livestock nutritional requirements.
* Manage end-to-end feed production processes including mixing, processing, and storage.
* Monitor feed consumption patterns and recommend improvements.

Quality Control & Compliance:

* Ensure feed quality standards and safety regulations are maintained.
* Conduct quality testing of raw materials and finished feed products.
* Implement quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Operations & Process Management:

* Supervise feed production operations and ensure production efficiency.
* Optimize production processes to reduce waste and improve output.
* Manage procurement, storage, and handling of feed ingredients.
* Maintain accurate records of feed formulations and production batches.
* Monitor and maintain feed production equipment and machinery.

Collaboration & Innovation:

* Collaborate with veterinarians and farm teams to assess livestock nutritional needs.
* Train and guide staff on feed preparation and safety practices.
* Conduct research on new feed ingredients and technologies.
* Identify cost-effective solutions without compromising feed quality.
* Troubleshoot production challenges and implement corrective actions.

Qualification and Experience:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or a related field.

Experience:

* Minimum **5 years of experience** in feed manufacturing, animal nutrition, or livestock feed production.
* Strong expertise in goat and cattle feed formulation and production management.
* Hands-on experience in feed production operations and raw material management.

Skills:

* Strong knowledge of livestock nutrition and feed standards.
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Leadership and team management skills.
* Knowledge of feed production machinery and quality control practices.
