About Ra Foundation:
Ra Foundation is a Mumbai based NGO, working with extremely vulnerable children to transform their lives through holistic education, safe environment provided at a residential school, to help them realize their full potential. Children who have lost one or both parents, and are at risk of facing violence, abuse, trafficking, child marriage, labour, beggary or are homeless are considered as vulnerable. Our work in the space of children’s education is called the Happy Kids program. Ra Foundation identifies children who are vulnerable due to the environment at home i.e. due to loss of parents, abuse, extreme deprivation etc, through partners like Akanksha, TFI fellows, CORP etc. The team handholds the kids into a safer environment through quality residential schooling in Panchgani, Nashik, Pune, parallelly addressing counselling, healthcare and mentorship needs thereby providing an ecosystem for education and growth. The programme support continues till the completion of education, so as to eliminate the risks of dropouts, child labour and child marriage. The kids who have completed their education are financially independent and healthy people who are now contributing citizens of Mumbai, and a great support to family.

Program Coordinator Responsibilities

? Managing and engaging with the assigned beneficiaries, and taking accountability of addressing their needs within the scope of the programme
? Coordinating with the school and staff with respect to the education program, extracurricular activities and social and emotional wellbeing of the beneficiaries.
? Coordinating holistically and engaging with the various stakeholders i.e. the parents of beneficiaries, the NGO partners, Tutors, Remedial Educators, Counsellors etc
? Monitoring the progress of beneficiaries through report cards, feedback from teachers and annual assessments and taking necessary action to cover the gaps in conjugation with School and Youth Program Manager
? Maintaining effective channels of communication with team mates to ensure that wellbeing of beneficiaries is addressed effectively and efficiently
? Participation in achieving the short term and long-term goals of the program and well as in implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
? Organizing and conducting monthly and annual meetings for the kids, youth and parents
? Using technology to improve programme communications and efficiency
? Responsible for sharing reports on beneficiaries on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
? Home visits of beneficiaries in the programme and also for identifying new beneficiaries
? Proactively participating in the mentorship programme for kids and youth
? Participate in Annual planning exercise of the programme
? Participation in any new initiatives and activities that may arise from them

Program Coordinator Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree
• Proven experience in the education sector or associated organisations
• Experience in Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
• Proven experience in program execution
• Proven beneficiary management skills
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Written and Verbal Communication & Strong Interpersonal, networking and liaising skills
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
