The organization works across multiple districts in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh, focusing on women’s rights, social empowerment, and sustainable development.
Job Description
Chaitanya is looking for a Social Coordinator to support gender and social development activities at the community level. The role involves working closely with women groups, SHGs, community members, and government departments to promote awareness about women’s rights, legal provisions, and government schemes.
The Social Coordinator will support community mobilization, training, documentation, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation.
Key Responsibilities
• Support implementation of gender and social development programs at the field level.
• Mobilize and coordinate Self Help Groups (SHGs) and community women groups.
• Conduct awareness sessions on women’s rights, legal provisions, and gender issues.
• Coordinate with Police, Women and Child Department, Legal Service Authority, and other stakeholders.
• Support women in accessing government schemes and required documentation.
• Assist in case support and referrals in coordination with concerned departments.
• Conduct capacity-building and training sessions for SHG members and community women.
• Maintain documentation, records, and monthly reports of project activities.
• Organize village-level and block-level awareness programs on social and legal issues.
• Facilitate discussions with women on issues related to safety, rights, and empowerment.
• Build coordination with local institutions and community organizations.
Qualification
• Post Graduation preferred (MSW / Sociology / Rural Development or related field)
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in social development, community mobilization, or NGO sector.
Skills Required
• Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
• Ability to work with women groups and rural communities.
• Basic understanding of gender issues, SHGs, and community development.
• Strong coordination and documentation skills.
Salary
Up to Rs 25,000 per month (based on experience).
