Engagement of Consultant/vendor for support in Maharashtra towards the implementation of state operations.

I.About the Program:
The program aims to strengthen early grade reading skills among primary school children through comprehensive interventions including development of reading materials, library strengthening, teacher capacity building, supportive supervision, and system-level support and advocacy.
II.Background of the assignment:
The Literacy Program (LP) in Maharashtra is being implemented with the objective of improving learning outcomes among children in schools. The assignment will focus on providing support to strengthen program operations.
III.Scope of Work:
The vendor is expected to undertake the following key activities:
- Provides inputs for writing reports, developing case studies, coordination with stakeholders.
- Advise and support channelising state level RtR interventions, timely reporting, tracking budget utilisation.
- Developing monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports.
- Reviews, edits, and quality-checks district and field-level reports before state consolidation.
- Develop presentations, briefs, concept notes, case studies, and documentation of field learnings and best practices.
- Maintaining track of program inputs and updation for the state intervention. Will liaison with SCERT, Zilla Parishad and other line departments for vetting, approvals and permission letters for timely delivery of operations across the state of Maharashtra.
IV.Role of RtR:
Provide the consultant with necessary data, documents, equipment and technical inputs to support completion of assignment.

VI.Eligibility Criteria: - The vendor
The vendor must:
- Masters/Post Graduate degree in education / social sciences or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of minimum 3 years of experience in documentation and reporting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, English.
- Experience working with government systems/departments (education/Zila Parishad, SCERT etc.)
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
VII.Contract Duration: -
The duration of the assignment will be from 1st of May 2026 to 31stJuly2026
All expenses incurred for official travel and accommodation to the program locations will be borne by Room to Read as per existing policies.
