About BGMS:
Bhartiya Grameen Mahila Sangh (BGMS) is an Indore-based Non-Government Organization established in the year 1961. The organization has been working in the field of Adolescent Development for the last 30 years. At present, the organization as an implementing partner of United Nations Population Fund is supporting the state in the area of Adolescent health and development along with life skills education program being implemented in schools, KGBV Hostels and ITIs in MP.
Vacancy
In order to bring the extensive impact and outcome of the Life skills program and positive change in the lives of adolescents by effectively implementing the program, BGMS is seeking dynamic and committed professionals for the position of Monitoring Officer to strengthen implementation, monitoring, and field-level support of the Life Skills Education programme. Each Monitoring Officer will be based in their respective division (Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rewa) and will be responsible for covering approximately 8–9 districts within the division. Note: Preference will be given to candidates who are native/resident of the respective division.
The position requires a candidate with proven experience and skills to undertake extensive field travel and provide effective mentoring for programme implementation at the grassroots level. The Monitoring Officer will support the delivery of Life Skills Education trainings at district and block levels, ensure timely reporting and documentation, and assist project staff in the development of training modules and programmes. The role demands a highly motivated individual with strong observation abilities, effective liaisoning skills with government and stakeholders, and excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
Monitoring Officer, LSE
The position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced person with minimum 2+ years of experience in the program of education domain. The candidate should be versed with the current technologies (e.g. Excel, PPT, Google forms, KOBO...) and have experience of providing trainings and monitoring of the educational programs.
Job Descriptions
- Conduct regular field visits to districts for monitoring and mentoring programme implementation
- Provide handholding support to teachers, stakeholders, and field functionaries
- Coordinate with government departments and officials at district and block levels
- Support and facilitate trainings, orientations, and LSE sessions
- Monitor programme quality and document progress, challenges, and success stories
- Maintain data, reports, and documentation of field activities
- Assist in module development, reporting, and project coordination
- Identify implementation gaps and suggest corrective actions
Qualifying criteria
Education: Candidate should have a post graduate degree (master's or higher level) in Master of Social Work or a related disciplines from an institute of repute.
Experience: Strong experience (of at least 2+ years) of monitoring and evaluation background, Experience of working in education domain is desirable.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills required, including strong professional communication abilities and a good command over English and Hindi.
- Must have knowledge about liaising, communication with higher authorities, monitoring and supervision.
- Advocacy and networking skills with a broad range of stakeholders including government, civil society, academia and NGOs.
- Good at organizing and maintaining records in Hard and Soft copies. An up-to date understanding of the Information Systems, M&E frameworks, MIS various relevant programmes.
- Experience in the education sector and life skills education.
Remuneration
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly honorarium ranging from ?26,000 to ?30,000, depending on experience, along with TA/DA as per BGMS norms. The qualifying candidate apply through link as below,
