MAMTA-Health Institute for Mother and Child, New Delhi, a Pan-India NGO, works on issues of health and development, with a focus on Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition, Adolescent/Young People’s Sexual Reproductive Health (YSRH), HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Non-Communicable Diseases since 1990. MAMTA works in a technical capacity and also as an implementing organization, which provides immense opportunities to engage with communities and stakeholders, learn, enhance skills, and deliver in a multi-disciplinary environment. MAMTA HIMC is implementing a project focused on improving maternal and child health outcomes among rural populations in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. As part of this initiative, the organization is seeking to fill multiple positions for Mobile Health Vans, who will deliver general health services across districts in both states.

1. JOB DESCRIPTION MEDICAL DOCTOR:
The Medical Doctor will be responsible for providing preventive and promotive health care services through MHV in the assigned villages. S/he will accompany the Mobile Health Van and will be responsible for providing medical services to the community with a special focus on General health checkups.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct OPD consultations, including diagnosis and treatment of patients.
2. Prescribe appropriate medications aligned with the identified disease.
3. Identify high-risk, complicated, and emergency cases requiring referral.
4. Ensure appropriate referrals and verify accessibility of referred services like CHC/PHC.
5. Maintain adherence to standard treatment guidelines/protocols and patient safety norms.
6. Act as on-site team leader and supervise service delivery quality.
7. Review patient records, service statistics, and MIS entries every week.
8. Quarterly Case studies identification, reporting and submission reflecting key health interventions, patient outcomes, and program impact.
9. Monitor medicine and other medical equipment & instrument utilization trends and guide demand forecasting.
10. Participate in review meetings, audits, Partner visits, and program evaluations.
11. Support the identification of alternate staff to ensure the continuity of MHV services
12. Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal as per protocols at the nearest PHC/CHC/others.
13. Conduct home visits via MHV to strengthen community health outreach.
14. Provide support in organizing and conducting health camps at different intervention locations.
15. Oversee administrative responsibilities at office locations, including rent management, maintenance, cleanliness, safety, security etc.
16. Implementation of My Village, Healthy Village activities and health promoting school activities
17. Complete tasks as instructed by team leaders, as and when required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Qualified MBBS doctors (Male/Female).
• Minimum 2- 3 years of hospital/ clinical/public health experience.
• Experience in working with NGOs or Mobile Medical/Health Units in rural geographical areas will be preferred
• Team Management Skills: Ability to supervise multidisciplinary staff, delegate tasks with clear accountability, and maintain discipline and teamwork during field operations.
• Responsive, proactive, and dedicated to patients.
• Strong interpersonal, documentation, and counselling skills.
• Proficient in working under pressure, with a proactive and patient-centric approach.
