1. JOB DESCRIPTION COUNSELLOR
The Counsellor will undertake provide counselling services, explain the treatment plan prescribed by the doctor, and conduct community awareness activities to promote healthy behaviours.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage patient registration, unique ID allocation, and record maintenance.
2. Ensure accurate entry of patient data in MIS (online/offline).
3. Generate and support reports for monitoring and evaluation.
4. Provide individual and group counselling on preventive health, hygiene, and lifestyle diseases.
5. Support the MHV team for organizing and conducting health camps at different intervention locations.
6. Develop monthly awareness plans based on disease trends.
7. Maintain referral records and ensure follow-up with beneficiaries.
8. Inform ASHA, ANM, and AWW in advance about MHV visits.
9. Conduct routine checks for completeness and accuracy of data.
10. Support the identification of alternate staff to ensure the continuity of MHV services
11. Ensure secure and ethical handling of patient information.
12. Collect and manage the registration fee of INR 10/-, maintain proper documentation and accounting records, and ensure verification by the doctor.
13. Capture high-quality photographs of day-to-day MHV activities, including case studies and emergency cases; systematically collect, compile, and manage the photographic records.
14. Coordinate and support courier-related responsibilities, and provide on-ground implementation support, including arranging tents and other logistical requirements.
15. Complete tasks as instructed by team leaders, as and when required.
16. Mobilize communities and make necessary arrangements for quarterly health camps and special events.
17. Implementation of My Village, Healthy Village activities and health promoting school activities
18. Track service utilization and ensure follow-up of key cases.
19. Collect and compile testimonials, activity photos, and other required data.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
• Master's/Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from a recognized institution.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in health counselling.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with NGOs or Mobile Medical/Health Units in rural areas.
• Passionate about work, a team player, and able to demonstrate empathy towards the community.
• Strong communication skills in Hindi.
• Ability to work within time limits and meet deadlines.
