About the Position
  • Job Title: Consultant – Project Manager
  • Number of positions: 1
  • Location: Dadri, Gautam Buddha Nagar, UP
  • Duration: 04 months (15th May to 15th September 2026)
  • Type: Project Based
  • Qualification: Post graduate degree in a relevant field in Health and/or Nutrition
  • Experience Required: 5–8 years of experience preferably in some nutrition and health related programs.
Skills and Attributes
  • Should have experience working with the communities in rural areas, especially with poorer and more marginalized communities. Experience working with the ICDS and health platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates with experience working on themes of Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition and Gender Empowerment will be preferred
  • Should have experience in training for Front-Line Workers and other community groups, with use of training materials, as required.
  • Familiarity with projects using SBCC approaches will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) in English and Hindi.
About the Project
Suposhit Dadri is a comprehensive project addressing selected indicators on MCH, Nutrition and WASH. The target groups among communities are children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women and men in the community. The project is being implemented in 20 villages in this phase situated in Dadri block of Gautam Budha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
 
This project aims to address these issues through a multifaceted strategy including awareness sessions in communities as well as in the village level schools, capacity building of frontline health workers (FLWs)/ of the Health and WCD departments, strengthening government nutrition and health platforms, promoting dietary diversification, increasing intake of government-supplied supplementation, intake of micronutrient-rich products, initiating kitchen garden programs, and other such interventions. This comprehensive approach aims to improve nutrition and health outcomes for the community.
 
Suposhit Dadri is spearheaded by the HCL leadership team, Vama Sundari Investments (Delhi) Pvt. Ltd. CSR initiative – Dadri Development Program (DDP), aimed at making a comprehensive development of Dadri Block of Gautam Buddha Nagar District of Uttar Pradesh. PCI India is the implementing partner for this initiative.
 
The key objectives of this project are:
  • Improve maternal health and nutrition through diverse diets, IFA/calcium intake, regular ANC/PNC visits and WASH interventions
  • Support optimal child health and nutrition via exclusive breastfeeding, timely complementary feeding, growth monitoring, immunization and WASH interventions
  • Promote healthy eating in adolescents, focusing on diet diversity, regular IFA consumption and WASH behaviors
About the Position
The Project Manager (Consultant) is required to lead the implementation of this project. S/He will be based at Dadri requiring regular coordination with the donor and Delhi PCI office and facilitate ground level implementation of the project through field coordinators, existing Front-line workers, and service providers of various departments in the field.  This position will be responsible for providing sound technical inputs, manage the implementation of the project and also be accountable for day-to-day management, trouble shooting and reporting on the progress of the project.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and work according to a detailed work plan in coordination with the senior project team of Vama Sundari and PCI, based on the project proposal.
  • Provide sound technical inputs as relevant to project themes for all interventions, material development and training modules. Technical soundness is required in the areas of MCH, Nutrition and WASH.
  • Support in recruiting, inducting, and training the Field Coordinators for the project, if applicable
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the project covering, but not limited to, team management, stakeholder management, performance management, budget management, report preparation, problem resolution, and participation in knowledge sharing/learning workshops.
  • Support in coordinating with the required vendors for providing specific services such as screening tests, development of SBCC materials, promotional materials, baseline and endline research, and other specified activities.
  • Facilitate and support all capacity building activities at the block and village levels, as per plan.
  • Coordinate with other project partners in the same geography for smooth implementation of the project.
  • Liaison and coordinate with departments like Health, ICDS, Education Department, and Rural Development Departments as necessary to secure their buy-in and support for implementing the project activities. Securing necessary permissions where necessary.
  • Regular travel to the project villages for monitoring and assessing the project activities and monitoring the performance of the project team members.
  • Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of the field office.
  • Update the supervisor and donor on the project progress and performance regularly, analyzing the performance indicators, and taking corrective actions/measures to ensure the achievement of project objectives as per the agreed timelines.
  • Other tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Recruitment Process
