To enhance accountable practices in the voluntary sector, FMSF serves as a vital resource hub for NPOs. FMSF engages with various development actors to raise awareness and provide support through training, workshops, seminars, advisory services, publications, and web-based outreach. Position Overview
We are in search of a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Communication Specialist, who will support us in leveraging digital platforms and technology to engage with a wide array of development stakeholders. The primary responsibilities will revolve around ensuring smooth communication channels, executing impactful web-outreach strategies, and managing FMSF’s online presence, including social media platforms.
Job Profile
- Content & Brand Strategy – Plan, support and execute communication initiatives that enhance organisation visibility and engagement.
- Develop communication strategies and supporting visual concepts that effectively translate complex ideas into accessible, engaging narratives, tailored to target audiences and aligned with the organization’s goals
- Content Creation – Create, edit, and copy-edit high-quality communication materials, including opinion editorials, speeches, factsheets, talking points, web articles, press releases, and social media texts
- Document and design multimedia stories to showcase programmatic success and insights to support programmatic goals
- Social Media Management – Plan and execute social media campaigns, staying updated on new trends. Monitor trends to identify content gaps and propose innovative approaches to address them
- Event & Webinar Coordination – Plan and manage both online and offline events and collaborations.
- Design communication collateral/material and maintain documentation of events/activities/workshops.
- Stakeholder Communication – Support internal and external communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Ensure consistency and coherence across all communication platforms while maintaining alignment with FMSF brand and communication guidelines
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliver impactful, quality content
- Stay updated with sectoral trends and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Preferably post-graduation in Communications or related fields
- 5-7 years of experience in communication, content strategy and digital marketing
- Photography experience and basic skills in video editing and production
- Proven experience in English and Hindi editing and writing
- Familiarity with social media, digital marketing, and content creation in the development sector.
- Ability to work with Canva, Illustrations, Photoshop and other digital tools. (video editing skillset will be an added advantage)
- Ability to focus on a variety of tasks within a deadline-driven environment.
- Creative and confident pitching communication ideas and strategies
- Passion for social impact and storytelling.
- A team player who can multitask in a dynamic environment.
