Position: Junior Program Officers (GIS); Research Officers (GIS) and; Assistant Research Officers (GIS)
Location: SOMAARTH-DDESS, Palwal (Haryana); Bareilly (UP) and Mawphlang (East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya)
The INCLEN Trust International is a not-for-profit health research and academic organization working very closely with central and state governments and medical colleges across the country. INCLEN is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology (GOI), and a Collaborative Center for Excellence (CCoE) by the Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Applications are invited from dynamic, motivated, and qualified candidates for GIS positions under ongoing research and public health projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support GIS-based research and program implementation activities.
• Ready to work in the field and conduct spatial data collection, mapping, visualization, and analysis.
• Support field implementation, monitoring, and data validation activities.
• Develop thematic maps, dashboards, and geospatial reports.
• Maintain GIS databases and ensure data quality.
• Coordinate with project teams, field staff, and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
Required Skills:
• Knowledge/experience in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or related platforms.
• Understanding of spatial analysis and geospatial data management.
• Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Qualification & Experience:
Junior Program Officer (GIS)
• PhD in Geo-informatics, Geography, Remote Sensing, Spatial Sciences, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of actual field experience post-qualification in GIS-related projects/programs.
Research Officer (GIS)
• Master’s Degreeor PhD in Geo-informatics, Geography, Remote Sensing, Spatial Analytics, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline.
• Masters with three years of field experience.
Assistant Research Officer (GIS)
• Fresh Master’s degreein Geo-informatics, Geography, Remote Sensing, Spatial Analytics, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline.
Desirable experience for all the positions:
• Experience in public health or development sector projects.
• Knowledge of GPS/mobile-based data collection tools.
• Experience in data visualization and analytical platforms.
• Candidates willing to travel for field activities
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
