Khushi Baby is a 10 year old digital health nonprofit with expertise in building solutions for Ministries of Health. Founded with a mission to bridge gaps in primary healthcare by empowering community health workers, health officials and partners with innovative digital tools to strengthen last mile health systems, Khushi Baby has partnered with state governments in Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Maharashtra to drive data-driven health systems strengthening at scale. Our 100-member interdisciplinary team integrates expertise in public health, epidemiology, data science, software engineering, product design and health policy to revolutionize how community health data is collected and acted upon. 

 

Through our flagship Community Health Integrated Platform (CHIP), we have: 

  •     Empowered 70,000+ community health workers to digitize health service delivery.
  •     Tracked over 48 million beneficiaries, identifying 6.5+ million at-risk individuals for targeted health interventions.
  •     Secured $20M in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) investment for scaling up digital public health solutions across Rajasthan.

Our work spans all primary healthcare verticals, supporting state-level interventions in maternal and child health, TB control, immunization, malnutrition, and climate-sensitive diseases. We work closely with leading global research institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, IITs, Microsoft Research, and JPAL to generate cutting-edge insights and innovations. 

 

Position Overview: 

The District Coordinator will be the key point of contact for the implementation of the SAMASTA platform in the assigned district. This role involves engaging with government health officials, facilitating the rollout among frontline health workers, and ensuring effective adoption of the platform. The District Coordinator is expected to drive coordination, monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and support the training and supervision of health workers to ensure full coverage and utilisation of the SAMASTA application.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Liaison and Coordination: 

  •         Act as the primary liaison between the Khushi Baby team, district and block health officials, and other key stakeholders.
  •         Ensure alignment and compliance with government directives and protocols at the district level.
  •         Facilitate regular coordination meetings and mobilise resources necessary for implementation.
  •         Attend District Health Society/Task Force meetings, delivering presentations as needed to support program progress and decision-making
  •         Attend district level and block level review meetings where needed    

Program Implementation & Monitoring: 

  •         Oversee the district-level rollout of the SAMASTA platform across all PHCs, CHCs, and sub-centres. 
  •         Ensure adoption of all SAMASTA modules by MOICs, CHOs, PHCOs, ANMs, and ASHAs.
  •         Conduct regular field visits to PHCs and sub-centres to provide supportive supervision, identify implementation challenges, and facilitate handholding support for health workers.
  •         Ensure timely escalation of technical or operational issues to the state team or technical partners.
  •         Liaise with PHC Medical Officers for regular updates and follow-up on field-level activities.

Training & Capacity Building:

  •         Support training operations including venue finalisation, participant coordination, logistics, approvals, and maintaining attendance records. 
  •         Serve as a resource person or co-trainer during MOICs, CHO, PHCO, ANM, and ASHA trainings. 
  •         Ensure timely refresher training and orientation on new modules.

Reporting and Documentation:      

  •         Submit monthly reports and provide data-driven presentations to district and block officials and the state team.
  •         Document field observations, success stories, Case studies and lessons learned for continuous improvement. 

Technology Facilitation:

  •         Coordinate with the technical team to ensure functional access to the SAMASTA app for all users in the district.
  •         Facilitate the resolution of digital literacy challenges among users and support data sync and usage compliance. 

Additional Responsibilities:

Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the state implementation team, including coordination during state reviews, pilot programs, IEC campaigns, and other operational activities related to SAMASTA or digital health strengthening.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  •     Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work from a recognised University
  •     Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in public health programs, health systems strengthening, or digital health projects
  •     Experience working with government stakeholders, especially in the National Health Mission framework, is highly desirable 
  •     Proficiency in Kannada (mandatory)       
  •     Willingness to travel extensively across the district   

Remuneration 

The remuneration offered will range between Rs. 55,000-60,000 per month commensurate with the candidate's experience and skill sets. Personal Accidental Insurance and Travel allowance are additional to the monthly pay.
