About this role:
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Fundraising Head to lead and expand the organization’s fundraising efforts. This role will focus on developing and executing strategic fundraising initiatives to ensure our mission is well-represented across all platforms and among a diverse group of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of raising at least INR 8 crore in the previous 3 financial years and be capable of leading high- impact campaigns while engaging high-value donors, CSR partners, and digital communities. This is a target- based role, with targets mutually discussed and set based on experience.
Salary will be based on the candidate’s previous experience.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising (80%): Fundraising Strategy and Campaigns:
• Lead the development and execution of integrated fundraising strategies aligned with the organization’s growth and sustainability goals.
• Identify and manage key fundraising channels, including Social Stock Exchange (SSE), Crowdfunding platforms, Retail Campaigns, Tata Mumbai Marathon, and Daan Utsav.
• Design and lead innovative fundraising campaigns targeting
• corporate, institutional, and individual donors.

Networking & Relationship Building:
• Drive donor mapping exercises and maintain an up-to-date database of potential donors and funding agencies.
• Develop compelling proposals and pitch decks for potential donors, showcasing impact and scalability.
• Establish and meet fundraising targets, both in revenue generation
• and donor acquisition.

Collaboration and Representation:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Programs, Communications, Finance) to ensure alignment in messaging and reporting.
• Coordinate with third-party agencies and fundraising platforms, ensuring timely sharing of content and documentation. Represent the organization in donor meetings, forums, and networking events to enhance visibility and partnerships.

Donor Obligation:
• Annual and campaign-specific fundraising targets will be mutually discussed and agreed upon based on the candidate’s prior experience
• Reporting and documenting of the grants to the donor.

Culture Building (20%):
Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead and mentor a high-performing fundraising and communications team to deliver consistent, high-quality output.
• Build a collaborative and learning-focused culture within the team.
• Keep abreast of fundraising trends, regulatory updates (especially SSE), and innovations in donor engagement and digital
• fundraising.

Candidate Specification:
Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.

Experience:
o Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in fundraising for an NGO, with a proven track record of raising at least INR 8 crore in the previous 3 financial years.
o Experience in raising funds across different states by identifying local donors and building a regional donor network.
o Demonstrated success in mobilizing funds in multiple states through tailored, location-specific strategies.
• Sector Preference: Strong preference for experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in CSR and institutional fundraising.

Fundraising Expertise:
• Hands-on experience with Social Stock Exchange (SSE) fundraising protocols and compliance.
• Experience in Crowdfunding strategy, planning, and execution.
• Demonstrated success in managing diverse fundraising portfolios, including CSR, HNIs, retail, digital, and global platforms.

Communication:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong storytelling ability and ability to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholders.

Technical Skills:
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with donor databases, CRM systems, and design tools like Canva.

Analytical Skills:
• Ability to analyse donor trends and fundraising performance for data-driven decision-making.
