Background
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) is a German liberal political foundation committed to promoting freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. FNF India works with policymakers, think tanks, media, and civil society to foster informed debate on political and economic developments.
FNF New Delhi is seeking a full-time Accounts Executive to support the organization’s financial and accounting operations.
Scope of Work and Responsibilities:
• Maintain accounting records and financial documentation.
• Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded
• Process invoices, reimbursements, travel claims, and vendor payments in line with FNF guidelines.
• Assist in preparing budgets, financial reports, expenditure statements, and monthly cash-flow requests.
• Liaising with Bank
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, PF, TDS, and internal financial procedures.
• Liaising with PF consultants & Tax consultant for timely filing of returns & taxes
• Coordinate with auditors and assist in completing audit activities
• Support preparation of financial statements and statutory audit processes.
• Upload accounting documents to the Data Management System (DMS).
• Maintain effective filing, archiving, and record-keeping systems.
• Review partner financial reports and coordinate on audit and reporting matters.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, budgeting, taxation, or internal auditing.
• Experience in bookkeeping, financial documentation, and office accounts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software; knowledge of BC 17 is an advantage.
• Experience with NGOs, international organizations, or development sector institutions will be preferred.
