About the Organisation:
Development Focus is a registered trust established in 2006 and headquartered in Bangalore, India. Our primary mission is to reach out to the most underserved communities, focusing on the last 20% of society who face the greatest barriers to access across Jharkhand, Odisha and North Karnataka. We work extensively to secure the sustainable livelihoods through climate resilient and community-driven approaches.

Project Background:
The position is for an agriculture-based development project aimed at strengthening sustainable livelihoods of tribal communities through climate-resilient and community-driven approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end planning, field level execution, and monitoring of climate resilient agriculture and livelihood interventions
* Team Management: Manage, mentor and guide the field team, ensuring effective coordination, performance and shared accountability
* Institutional Sustainability: Facilitate community mobilisation and strengthen community-based institutions along a progressive pathway toward independent management and sustainability.
* Documentation & Reporting: Oversee high-quality documentation, regular progress reporting, and MIS management in accordance with organisational and donor standards
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with community leaders, local governance structures and regional partner networks
* Field Presence: Undertake frequent field visits to review project objectives and provide direct supportive supervision to the team

Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Master's degree in Rural Development, Agriculture, or a related field
* Minimum 3 years of experience at a managerial level in development projects
* Prior experience in livelihood programmes; preference for agriculture-based livelihood projects, building community-led institutional sustainability
* Competency in project management frameworks, team leadership, structured reporting and MIS systems.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and in rural/field settings
* Candidates with a strong understanding of Jharkhand's socio-cultural fabric and the ability to communicate effectively in regional tribal dialects are strongly encouraged to apply.

Language Requirement:
* Proficiency in Hindi and English is essential
* Knowledge of local tribal languages will be an added advantage
