We are seeking a dynamic and committed professional to lead our Self-Help Group (SHG) and Income Generation Initiatives.
Position Summary
The Manager – Self-Help Groups and Income Generation Initiatives will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring programs that strengthen SHGs and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for community members. The position requires strong leadership, community engagement, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formation, strengthening, and capacity building of Self-Help Groups.
- Design and implement income-generation and livelihood development programs.
- Facilitate financial literacy, savings, and credit linkage activities.
- Develop partnerships with government agencies, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Identify market opportunities and support enterprise development for SHG members.
- Supervise field staff and provide technical guidance.
- Monitor project progress and prepare reports for management and donors.
- Ensure achievement of project goals and compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's or Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in SHG promotion, livelihood development, community mobilization, or related programs.
- Experience in project management and team supervision.
- Knowledge of government livelihood schemes and microfinance systems is desirable.
