North East Diocesan Social Service Society (NEDSSS) is an NGO which promotes, facilitates and coordinates social interventions in the seven states of North East India. NEDSSS started its philanthropic endeavours since its inception in 1989, as a Non-Profitable Organization working across seven states in the region. NEDSSS works towards empowering and enabling local communities for inclusive development.
Job Summary: The Project Coordinator will organize and manages the various part of a project to ensure its success. This includes assigning and monitoring daily tasks and communication in the field as well as creating reports and updates for the project officer (PO) and other members of management within the Suraksha project in Golaghat, Assam. The project coordinator will collaborate closely with Field staff, NEDSSS MEAL, and local stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
• Project Coordinator will be based in the assigned field areas/ Gram panchayats to supervise and oversee the implementation of project activities on-site, ensuring they align in accordance with Project Detailed implementation Plan (DIP) and organizational goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations and meeting project timelines and communicate project progress, needs, challenges and outcomes to the concerned reporting officers – Project Officer and Meal Officer
• Oversee project budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation for smooth implementation of project activities at field level
• Preparation of purchasing order and timely submission of activities report with supporting bills every week to the accounts department
• Lead and supervise field teams and volunteers and provide technical support at the field level
• To act as the primary link between the field Animators and the office- based at field level
• Build and maintain rapport and network with government departments, agencies and other community stakeholders to influence policies and programs to address the needs of the community effectively
• Closely coordinate with different community stakeholders’ members – parents, teachers, CSC, SHGs, SMCs and likeminded NGO partners
• Organize interface meetings, training, workshops, meetings and consultations at Panchayat levels in coordination with office team and ensure its success
• Maintain proper data and documentation of reports- weekly and monthly action plan, update data and impact stories, narrative reports etc. ensuring timely completion and submission of all deliverables
• To carry out any other duty assigned by the Director of NEDSSS
Education and Experience:
• Graduate in relevant fields.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in Development fields of managing programs, and experience with stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with experience using M&E data in program management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required, while working knowledge of Assamese will be considered an added advantage.
• Good computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Field Travel: The project requires an intensive field visit in the assigned project locations to monitor day to day field-based activities and provide close handhold support to the field team.
Compensation Range:
Monthly Gross Compensation of INR. 35,000.00 including Social Securities.
