Position: Camp Manager

Role Overview:
The Camp Manager will be the project office representative at the Abhay Health Camps, ensuring smooth execution as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance guidelines. While the core medical operations and mobilization will be managed by the health partner organization, the Camp Manager will be responsible for monitoring, ensuring protocol adherence, managing inventory (including lenses and frames for spectacles) and maintaining overall camp discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Camp Monitoring & SOP Compliance:
• Ensure health camps operate strictly as per SOPs laid down in the program.
• Monitor the workflow as per Camp Design of health check-ups, eye screenings, social security mapping, workshop, refreshment and spectacle disbursement
• Act as the primary escalation point for any deviations in process, protocols or service delivery.
• Ensure safety, hygiene and structured operations at the camp location.
2. Quality Control & Protocol Enforcement:
• Supervise the vision screening process to ensure accuracy and adherence to protocols.
• Ensure correct prescription validation and that spectacles are dispensed correctly.
• Oversee and ensure signatures at every desk from the driver and doctors as per model.
3. Inventory & Stock Management:
• Maintain accurate records of stock (including lenses, frames and other medical supplies).
• Ensure proper storage and handling of spectacles to prevent damage or loss.
• Conduct regular stock audits and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to replenish stock as needed.
4. Coordination & Reporting:
• Work in close coordination with the health partner organization to ensure seamless execution.
• Prepare and submit daily reports on camp activities, inventory usage and daily task sheet.
• Ensure and report Infra readiness including electricity and internet connectivity.
• Ensure all camp-related data is accurately recorded on portal as well as registration forms and documented for future analysis.
• Assist in tele-optometry consultations, if qualified as an optometrist.
5. Stakeholder & Team Management:
• Serve as the primary liaison between Foresight Foundation and the health partner organization.
• Address any issues or concerns raised by beneficiaries (truck drivers) and resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure on-ground team members are aligned with program goals and trained on SOPs.
Key Outcomes Expected:
• Strict adherence to SOPs and protocols at all health camps.
• Zero stock discrepancies and proper maintenance of lenses, frames and other camp materials.
• 100% compliance with quality and healthcare protocols in screening and spectacle distribution.
• Seamless coordination between the foundation, health partner and other stakeholders.
• Accurate reporting of camp operations, stock levels and key findings.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Graduate in Healthcare, Public Health, Optometry, or related fields (Optometrist preferred but not mandatory).
• 5+ years of experience in managing healthcare camps, community health programs or operational monitoring roles. Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, SOPs, and quality assurance in medical settings.
• Experience in inventory/stock management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
