The Senior Programme Associate will support project execution and coordination, ensuring alignment with overall objectives while tracking deliverables, developing workplans, and managing partner and government coordination. The role involves developing high-quality project deliverables, including reports, briefs, talking points, concept notes, and opinion articles, while also supporting internal and external presentations, event planning, and attending to client requests. Additionally, the Senior Programme Associate will assist in identifying and engaging with key stakeholders, thought leaders, and partners, preparing briefing materials and outreach communications as needed. The role will also involve supporting event planning for conferences, workshops, and panel discussions, enhancing engagement through targeted messaging and materials. Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, external partners and government stakeholders, will be essential for success in this position
Content and Research Support
Support teams in the development of client-ready project deliverables including event briefs, talking points, agendas, reports, concept notes, opinion articles, and other documents as required.
- Support project teams in drafting high-quality materials across projects, ready to be reviewed by respective SMT members with minimal feedback in a time-bound manner
- Support team with internal and external presentations, client requests and deliverable support for planning and executing events (conferences, workshops, roundtables) and panel discussions, as necessary
- Track project deliverables, developing workplans, and coordination with vendors when necessary
- Any other activities that may be specified such as conducting research and supporting the development of deliverables for these projects, as needed
Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the team in identifying and reaching out to stakeholders, influential voices, others
- Develop materials required for meetings with experts/thought leaders including briefing, outreach emails, etc.
Reporting and Supervision
- The Senior Program Associate will report to and work closely with the project lead and support project teams to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables. This role will require the candidate to be working full-time out of the GHS Lucknow office.
- A Bachelors’ Degree, preferably in a public health, social science, mass communications, public relations, journalism or other related fields
- 2 to 4 years of progressively relevant professional experience
- Master’s degree is an asset
- Excellent research, analytical and writing skills with a demonstrated ability to write for reports, papers, concept notes etc.
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Advanced Word and PowerPoint skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
Required interpersonal and work skills.
- Attention to detail, with a keen eye for formatting and grammar
- Good command in Hindi and English, both speaking and writing
- Interest in learning new skills at a fast pace
- Ability to work within short timelines
