Position Overview
 
General purpose of the position
 
To maintain and develop Humane World for Animals India’s social media primarily and identify and develop branding and marketing materials including social and outdoor media graphics. Work in consultation with the Manager, Communications and maintain Humane World for Animals India’s online branding.
 
Essential duties and responsibilities
 
Social media awareness and marketing (80%):
  • Develops and executes social media strategies including awareness, branding and other campaigns on social and outdoor media platforms for Humane World for Animals India Foundation by working with relevant program departments.
  • Maintains Humane World for Animals India Foundation’s social media accounts by creating good quality social media share-graphics, videos, reels, and stories and developing captions and narration for daily social media posts aligned with campaign messaging. Serves as the point of contact for maintaining a repository of all created graphics.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for development of collaterals such as posters, banners, information leaflets, and flyers for organization’s events.
  • Assesses the performance of social media platforms for Humane World for Animals India Foundation across all channels and documents them in a periodic manner for internal and external information and review.
  • Tracks and optimizes conversion metrics such as engagement-to-action rates, click-throughs, and campaign-specific outcomes to ensure social media efforts translate into tangible outcomes. 
  • Conduct social media market research to identify emerging platforms, industry trends, and new features, applying relevant insights to Humane World for Animals India Foundation’s social media strategy.
 
Paid ads for fundraising (15%):
  • Collaborates with Director, Marketing & Communications to assist in raising funds digitally through targeted campaigns. in a strategic manner
  • Identifies innovative and unique digital platforms which can be used for fundraising digitally.
 
External and Internal Stakeholders (5%):
  • Serves as the liaison for social media vendors and advises them on how to produce materials based on campaign requirements and organization brand.
  • Develops and implements community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned. 
Desired minimum qualifications
 
Education and experience
  • Graduate degree in mass communication or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in social media management content creation. Experience in social media strategy, design and execution is essential preferably for use in branding, awareness and fundraising for social and civic society issues.
Necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  1. Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Premier Pro and/or Photoshop.
  2. Knowledge of Meta, Ads Manager and Google ads.
  3. Video editing skills.
  4. Proficiency of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
  8. Interest in animal protection issues preferred.
