About the Project
Sabuj Sangha, with support from LTIMindtree, is implementing the “Centre for Excellence on Rural Livelihood” project in Kumargram Block of Alipurduar. The project focuses on women-led livelihood promotion, eco-friendly enterprises, handicraft development, financial inclusion, market linkage, and community institution strengthening. Through innovative and sustainable livelihood models such as Areca Leaf Processing, Mekhla Weaving, and Upcycled Handicraft Production, the initiative aims to improve economic resilience and empower rural women and marginalized communities.
Job Title : Project Manager
Location: Kumargram Block, Alipurduar
Salary: INR 50,000 - INR 55,000/- per month
Job Summary:
Sabuj Sangha is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee the implementation of the livelihood project across the target villages of Kumargram Block, Alipurduar. The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project management, donor coordination, team supervision, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring timely and quality implementation of all project activities and enterprise interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead overall implementation and execution of the “Centre for Excellence on Rural Livelihood” project in Kumargram Block, Alipurduar.
• Ensure timely achievement of project goals, deliverables, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with community institutions, SHGs, Panchayats, government departments, CSR partners, and stakeholders.
• Supervise project staff, field teams, and enterprise units.
• Prepare implementation plans, budgets, activity calendars, and progress reports.
• Monitor livelihood interventions including Areca Leaf Unit, Mekhla Weaving Unit, and Handicraft Production Unit.
• Facilitate market linkages, institutional convergence, and sustainability planning.
• Ensure documentation, compliance, donor communication, and impact reporting.
• Conduct regular field visits, review meetings, and beneficiary assessments.
• Support enterprise development, women empowerment, and community-led initiatives.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the management related to programme implementation.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in livelihood/CSR/community development projects.
• Experience in managing multi-stakeholder rural development projects.
• Strong leadership, reporting, budgeting, and team management skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation.
• Preference will be given to candidates having experience in livelihood promotion and women-led enterprise development.
