About the Project
Sabuj Sangha, with support from LTIMindtree, is implementing the “Centre for Excellence on Rural Livelihood” project in Kumargram Block of Alipurduar. The project focuses on women-led livelihood promotion, eco-friendly enterprises, handicraft development, financial inclusion, market linkage, and community institution strengthening. Through innovative and sustainable livelihood models such as Areca Leaf Processing, Mekhla Weaving, and Upcycled Handicraft Production, the initiative aims to improve economic resilience and empower rural women and marginalized communities.
Job Title : Marketing and Livelihood Manager
Location: Kumargram Block, Alipurduar
Salary: INR 40,000/- per month
Job Summary:
Sabuj Sangha is looking for a skilled Marketing & Livelihood Manager to support enterprise development, market linkage, and livelihood promotion activities under the project. The candidate will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing buyer networks, supporting product branding and promotion, mentoring producer groups, and ensuring sustainable income generation for project beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead livelihood promotion and enterprise development activities under the project.
• Develop market strategies for Areca products, Mekhla textiles, and handicraft products.
• Identify buyers, distributors, wholesalers, and institutional markets.
• Support product development, branding, pricing, and packaging strategies.
• Conduct market research and demand analysis for rural enterprise products.
• Facilitate market linkage with tourism hubs, retail stores, exhibitions, and online platforms.
• Mentor SHGs and producer groups in entrepreneurship and business planning.
• Support training on financial literacy, enterprise management, and value addition.
• Track sales performance and revenue generation of livelihood units.
• Coordinate with communication and project teams for promotional activities.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the management related to programme implementation.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Marketing, Rural Management, Business Development, or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in livelihood promotion, enterprise development, or rural marketing.
• Experience in market linkage and community-based enterprise models.
• Good understanding of handicrafts, textiles, eco-friendly products, or rural value chains.
• Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively in rural areas.
• Experience in CSR/NGO sector preferred.
