MSW, PGDRM or Postgraduate in Agriculture, Rural Management, Agri business Management, Economics and other allied subjects.
Experience required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of Livelihood Promotion.
Skills and Attributes
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years in working with State Rural Livelihood Mission will be given preference.
  • Previous experience of managing large scale project at district or regional level.                                                   
  • Good computer knowledge, management and training skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication.                                 
  • Willingness to travel frequently to the field and ability to work against tight timelines.                                                           
  • Able to handle quantum of work in a time bound manner.                       
  • Able to guide, mentor and supervise team members to achieve outputs and deliverables.

About the Role
 
KeyResponsibilities:
  • Anchor the implementation of Fishery Intervention in their respective regions as per the prescribed package of practices.
  • Managing the field team of PCI on day to day basis.
  • Facilitating the mobilization process and ensuring the timely formation & capacity building of livelihood based community institutions.
  • Anchoring the identification and capacity building of community cadre to be on boarded under the project.
  • Ensuring the timely review of community cadre and ensuring timey disbursement of honorarium to cadres.
  • Work in close coordination with project lead of Fishery for achieving the targets.
  • Ensuring the on-field support to project teams, community cadre and project beneficiaries through frequent field visit to districts & blocks.
  • Establishing robust coordination with UPSRLM District and Block teams & seeking their support in achieving the project goals.
  • Develop the pitch notes, jingles, audio-visuals, training collaterals and other knowledge product in consultation with the project lead prepare monthly program progress related slide decks (PowerPoint presentations) to share the progress and achievements with competent authorities and field teams.
  • Develop case studies, district level proposals on fishery in consultation with the project lead.
  • Ensuring timely feeding of data on MIS and other reporting formats; preparing descriptive reports and decks on the project progress, challenges & issues in the field. 
  • Conducting regular review of project team and ensuring handholding support to them in handling the field level issues & challenges.
  • Establishing robust relations and communication with the line departments at district level & facilitating the application process and due diligence for leveraging benefits under various schemes & loan products meant for Fishery.
  • Establishing strong market connect and facilitating the backward & forward linkage for the projects at regional level.
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor.
  • The position is based at Regional level and incumbent will be required to work in close coordination with the project lead.

About the Project:
The Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (UPSRLM) is mandated to implement DAY-NRLM – a national flagship program of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India that envisions addressing multi-dimensional poverty in rural India by organizing the poor and vulnerable women into self-help groups (SHGs). These SHGs are federated into Village Organizations (VOs) at the village level and further into cluster level federations (CLFs). Encouraged by the results of PCl's engagement with the Bihar State Rural Livelihoods Mission, the UPSRLM collaborated with PCI to establish a technical support unit in the state. This unit works with an objective to strengthen UPSRLM'’s overall systems and processes; strengthen UPSRLM’s community institutions and platforms; and devise evidence-based strategies and interventions, integrate Health and Nutrition (HN) and Take Home Ration (THR) into UPSRLM's core operational model to achieve sustainable improvement in HN outcomes. PCI has been recently expanding its work into livelihoods with UPSRLM and has been supporting UPSRLM in conceptualising and devising subsector interventions around Fisheries and Bee keeping with community Platforms promoted by UPSRLM. The project will ensure subsector intervention on fishery value chain interventions in UP. The incumbent will be required to devise strategies for promotion Fishery, building capacity of SHG members, organise them into producer groups, aggregate the and ensure marketing of products. The scope and approach specific to employment generation entails co-creation strategies with UPSRLM for system strengthening of UPSRLM in its core business areas, Strengthening UPSRLM's internal system, structures, institutional mechanisms and processes, and strengthening and mobilizing the community institutions of UPSRLM in its core business areas for fishery.
