1. JOB OVERVIEW, JOB BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
This role builds the narrative, visibility, and activation energy of the alumni ecosystem.
You will design and execute communication strategies and high-quality convenings that strengthen alumni identity and amplify systems impact.
This is strategic communications and engagement - not administrative event management.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: (%)
2.1 Strategic Communications & Brand: 35%
a. Develop alumni brand narrative aligned to mission in collaboration with the Communications Team
b. Build content pipelines (case studies, thought pieces, media placements)
c. Manage digital platforms and engagement analytics in collaboration with Communications Team
2.2 Campaign & Activation Strategy: 25%
a. Design campaigns tied to ecosystem goals
b. Mobilise alumni participation in initiatives
c. Coordinate ambassador and speaker bureau programmes
2.3 Convenings & Experience Design: 25%
a. Lead end-to-end execution of flagship convenings
b. Ensure measurable outputs and follow-up
2.4 Operations & Vendor Management: 15%
a. Manage designers, agencies, interns
b. Maintain communication calendars and workflow discipline
3. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
3.1 Skills/Abilities:
• Strong storytelling and content development skills
• Familiarity with digital analytics tools
3.2 Attributes:
• Strong narrative instinct
• Execution excellence
• High energy and relationship-oriented
• Detail-conscious but strategic
3.3. Experience:
• 4–6 years in communications, campaigns, or engagement roles
• Masters, MBA, Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing events and stakeholder engagement
