Position: Manager – Climate Change & Sustainable Agriculture

Location : New Delhi (Field-based with travel requirements)
Duration of Contract: Contract up to 31 May 2027
Compensation : INR 100,000 per month (inclusive of all applicable taxes)

About the Position:
Change Alliance Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to support its Climate Change Adaptation, Resilience & Livelihoods (CCAR) portfolio. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, monitoring, and knowledge management of climate change, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, carbon, and livelihood-related projects. The role will support broader climate change and resilience initiatives undertaken by Change Alliance and may be assigned to other projects based on organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Climate Change & Sustainable Agriculture:
o Provide technical support on climate change adaptation, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, regenerative agriculture, and natural resource management interventions.
o Support implementation of climate-smart agriculture initiatives, including water-efficient and low-emission farming practices.
o Develop technical guidance notes, training materials, and implementation frameworks for field teams and partners.
o Contribute to project design, proposal development, and technical reviews for climate-related assignments.
• Project Implementation & Coordination:
o Support implementation of ongoing climate and agriculture projects across different geographies.
o Coordinate with project partners, government departments, research institutions, FPOs, CSOs, and community-based organizations.
o Facilitate stakeholder consultations, capacity-building programs, workshops, and field demonstrations.
o Undertake field visits for monitoring, technical backstopping, and quality assurance.
• Monitoring, Learning & Documentation:
o Support baseline studies, assessments, monitoring frameworks, and impact measurement activities.
o Contribute to donor reports, technical reports, case studies, success stories, and knowledge products.
o Support data analysis, learning documentation, and dissemination of project outcomes.
• Business Development & Knowledge Management:
o Assist in preparing technical proposals and concept notes related to climate change, agriculture, ESG, carbon, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.
o Track emerging trends, policies, and opportunities in climate action and sustainable development.
o Support organizational knowledge management and external representation where required
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Master’s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Climate Change, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in climate change, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable agriculture, or rice-based farming systems.
• Demonstrated experience in rice cultivation technologies, water management, Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD), Systematic Rice Intensification (SRI), regenerative agriculture, or related interventions.
• Experience working with farming communities, government agencies, NGOs, or private sector agriculture programs.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
• Experience in carbon projects, Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems, or climate adaptation programs.
• Familiarity with digital agriculture tools and farmer engagement platforms.
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge on English and other regional languages
