Position Overview
IDF is seeking a qualified and committed professional for the position of Programme Manager to lead and manage Integrated Rural Development Projects supported by the HG Foundation (CSR arm of HG Infra Engineering Ltd.).
The ideal candidate should be passionate about community development, aligned with IDF's values, and capable of designing and implementing context-specific interventions that address community needs. Experience in gender-sensitive programming and inclusive development approaches will be an added advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate/Master's Degree in Development Studies, Rural Development, Social Work, Social Welfare, Enterprise Promotion, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in implementing and managing development projects, preferably supported by CSR foundations.
- Experience in livelihood promotion, capacity building, education, WASH, health and nutrition, natural resource management, or other integrated rural development initiatives.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in implementing and managing holistic and integrated rural development programmes.
- Strong understanding of livelihood promotion, micro-enterprise development, skill development, quality education, health and nutrition, WASH, and NRM interventions.
- Exposure to projects focused on poverty alleviation and the advancement of vulnerable and ultra-poor communities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, partnership-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of MIS, database management, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi.
- Experience in strengthening and working with community-based institutions and local governance structures.
- Ability to lead teams, work independently, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of multiple project components, including planning, monitoring, training, supervision, and strategic execution of activities within agreed timelines.
- Facilitate community engagement processes and document project outcomes, learnings, and impact.
- Maintain close coordination with donors, government departments, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure quality implementation and develop sustainability mechanisms for project interventions and infrastructure created under the programme.
- Prepare high-quality narrative and progress reports supported by evidence-based achievements and impact data.
- Coordinate project finances in consultation with the Accounts team and ensure compliance with organizational and donor financial norms.
- Monitor progress against project objectives and deliverables through a robust MIS and documentation system.
- Lead and manage project staff while ensuring efficient and professional programme operations.
- Promote and demonstrate successful programme models for replication and scale-up.
Remuneration
Rs.50,000 per month, negotiable based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and competencies.
