Position: Outreach Worker (ORW)
Organization: Umakant Service Foundation, Varanasi
Salary:** Rs. 10,500/- per month
Travel Allowance:** Rs. 1,500/- per month

Candidates should be at least 12th passed. Minimum one year of experience in the social sector or community work is required. Preference will be given to candidates from the community, especially those with experience in outreach, mobilization, and HIV/AIDS programmes. High-performing Peer Educators with at least three years of experience and basic reading and writing skills may also be considered for the ORW position.

Applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in small teams, and adaptability to flexible working conditions. Proficiency in data collection, report writing, and documentation is expected. The role requires willingness to undertake extensive fieldwork, with a minimum of 20 field visit days per month, and the ability to monitor field activities while guiding Peer Educators and community volunteers.

Key responsibilities include preparing and implementing micro-plans and outreach strategies, supporting TI programme activities such as mapping and population size estimation, supervising Peer Educators, conducting regular field visits, monitoring service uptake, and ensuring timely follow-up of beneficiaries. The ORW will facilitate crisis response, referrals, counselling linkages, and community mobilization, while coordinating with stakeholders and service providers. The role also involves ensuring adequate supply and distribution of condoms, lubricants, IEC materials, and other commodities, maintaining outreach records and documentation, organizing health camps and HIV testing referrals, and submitting timely reports to the Project Manager.
