Lutheran World Service India Trust (LWSIT) is inviting applications from the suitable candidates for the following position:

Job Title : Project Associate

Job Location : Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation (CCAM) Project, Birbhum

Reporting to : Project Coordinator

Nature of Employment : Contractual

Salary : Rs. 30,000/- approximately

About the Organization: Lutheran World Service India Trust (LWSIT) is a national NGO implementing development programs in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand, Manipur and Tamil Nadu, while it implements major humanitarian response projects as pan India program

Mandatory Requirements
• Graduate in:
- Commerce &/or
- Finance

Expected Deliverables
• Maintain proper book of accounts in Tally, update it and keep back up on daily basis
• Maintain all book of accounts at the Project Unit through hard copy and soft copy as per the organization system
• Check and verify all the bills/ vouchers received from project staff and others to make payment
• Make all the payments by Cheques/NEFT as per situation
• Issue money receipts to the concerned individuals while receiving money
• Prepare annual budget and monthly cash flow of CCAM Project of Birbhum Unit together with Project Team
• Review budget vs expenditure of project budget assigned to individual staff and give feedback
• Prepare weekly Budget vs Expenditure report, monthly financial report and submit to Project Coordinator for onward sharing with National Office, Kolkata
• Prepare bank reconciliation statement (BRS) on monthly basis obtaining information from the banks and send to National Office
• Maintain all other financial records as may be required from time to time.

Work Experience: 5 - 7 years on Accounts and Finance

• Knowledge and experience of GST, FCRA, Income Tax, TDS law & regulations
• Good knowledge & experience of Tally ERP 9.
• Experience in Asset Management and Procurement process

Language Fluency:
• English (Speaking & Report writing)
•Bengali (Reading, Writing & Speaking)
• Hindi (Reading, Writing & Speaking)

• Proficiency in all applications of MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PPT
