About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and empathetic English Language Trainer to support young women (18–21 years) enrolled in the Allied Ophthalmic Paramedic (AOP) Program. Most learners come from underprivileged and rural backgrounds with limited exposure to spoken English and professional communication.

The trainer will be responsible for developing students' functional English, communication skills, confidence, and workplace readiness through interactive, learner-centered teaching methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
English Language Training
Conduct engaging sessions on Functional English (Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening).
Improve students' grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence formation.
Build confidence in conversational English for everyday and workplace interactions.
Teach basic business and healthcare communication.
Support students in understanding medical and healthcare terminology used in training.
Communication & Employability Skills
Develop verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Conduct activities on:
Self-introduction
Public speaking
Group discussions
Role plays
Telephone etiquette
Interview preparation
Presentation skills
Prepare students for hospital interactions with patients, attendants, doctors, and colleagues.
Classroom Facilitation
Create an inclusive, encouraging, and non-judgmental learning environment.
Use activity-based, experiential, and participatory teaching methods.
Adapt lesson plans according to students' learning levels.
Conduct assessments and monitor individual progress.
Provide constructive feedback and remedial support where required.
Student Mentorship
Motivate students with low confidence or learning gaps.
Encourage active participation and regular attendance.
Act as a mentor to support personal growth and confidence building.
Foster discipline, professionalism, and positive learning habits.
Curriculum & Documentation
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
Maintain attendance and student progress records.
Submit periodic reports to the Program Coordinator.
Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and academic reviews.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Humanities, or a related discipline.
Certification in English Language Teaching (preferred).
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Knowledge of basic computer applications (MS Office, Google Workspace).
