Gramodaya Samajik Sansthan (GSS) is a leading grassroots non-governmental organization established in 1989 and registered under the Rajasthan Society Registration Act, 1958. For more than three decades, GSS has been working towards sustainable rural development, community empowerment, natural resource conservation, and social transformation across India.
Founded by Shri Kedar Prasad Shrimal along with a group of socially committed youth, the organization emerged in response to the devastating impact of floods and socio-economic challenges faced by rural communities in Rajasthan. Since inception, GSS has adopted a participatory development approach — empowering marginalized communities, women, children, youth, farmers, and vulnerable populations.
Today, GSS is recognized for expertise in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Natural Resource Management, Climate Resilience, Sustainable Livelihoods, Women Empowerment, Child Rights, Education, Health, and Community Development.
