Position Summary
The Education Facilitator will play a key role in creating a joyful, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment for children aged 11–18 years. The facilitator will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging learning sessions, supporting children's foundational literacy and numeracy, promoting socio-emotional development, and building meaningful relationships with children, parents, schools, and the community.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, believes that every child can learn, and is committed to ensuring that no child is left behind.

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Learning
• Plan and facilitate daily learning sessions for children aged 11–18 years from grafe 6th to grade 12h.
• Use activity-based, play-based, and experiential teaching methods.
• Strengthen children's foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
• Support school-going children with homework, reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching-learning materials, and creative classroom activities.
• Conduct storytelling, reading circles, educational games, art, craft, music, and science activities.
• Encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence among children.
• Ensure every child actively participates in learning.

2. Early Childhood Development
• Support the cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development of children aged 2–6 years at our other center.
• Conduct school readiness activities using play-based learning approaches.
• Develop children's communication, motor, and pre-literacy skills.
• Create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

3. Child Well-being and Protection
• Ensure the learning centre remains a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly space.
• Promote positive behaviour through encouragement and respectful discipline.
• Identify children requiring additional academic or emotional support.
• Follow Sanrakshan Trust's Child Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy at all times.
• Immediately report any concerns related to child safety or well-being.

4. Parent and Community Engagement
• Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers.
• Conduct regular parent meetings and home visits when required.
• Encourage parents to actively participate in their children's education.
• Guide families on creating supportive learning environments at home.
• Mobilise community participation in educational programmes and events.

5. Centre Management
• Maintain daily attendance records for children.
• Ensure the learning centre is clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Maintain books, educational materials, toys, sports equipment, and stationery.
• Display children's work and create engaging learning corners.
• Support the organisation of educational camps, celebrations, reading festivals, exposure visits, and community events.

6. Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting
• Maintain individual learning records for every child.
• Track attendance, learning progress, and behavioural observations.
• Conduct simple learning assessments and document outcomes.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Document success stories, case studies, photographs, and programme activities in accordance with safeguarding guidelines.

7. Team Collaboration
• Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and programme planning.
• Share innovative teaching practices and learning resources with colleagues.
• Work closely with volunteers, interns, schools, and community stakeholders to strengthen programme quality.

Any other task assigned by Program Manager/Organisation.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Diploma or certification in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is desirable.
• Strong commitment to children's education and retired teachers are encouraged to apply.

Experience
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in teaching, community education, NGOs, learning centres.
• Experience working with children from underserved communities is preferred.
• Experience in foundational literacy and numeracy programmes is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies
• Strong understanding of child-centred and activity-based learning approaches.
• Ability to engage children across different age groups (2–14 years).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity in designing engaging educational activities.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Fluency in Hindi; basic spoken and written English is desirable.

Working Conditions
• Monday to Friday and 2nd & 4th Saturday.
• Regular travel within programme communities.
• Participation in occasional weekend events, educational camps, exposure visits, and training programmes.

Salary
As per Sanrakshan Trust's salary structure and based on qualifications and experience.
