We invite applications from passionate and committed professionals for the position of District Coordinator – LEHER Project in Madhubani district.

Position Summary

The District Coordinator will lead the implementation of the LEHER Project at the district level, ensuring effective planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of project activities. The role requires a strong understanding of child rights, child protection systems, adolescent development, gender equality, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the implementation of project activities across the district.
Provide technical guidance and supportive supervision to field staff.
Build and maintain effective relationships with district administration, line departments, schools, Child Protection Committees, Child Welfare Committees, and other stakeholders.
Promote child rights, child protection, safeguarding, gender equality, and adolescent participation within project interventions.
Organize trainings, workshops, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building programmes for staff, community members, and stakeholders.
Monitor project progress, ensure quality implementation, and maintain project documentation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and donor reports with accurate data and success stories.
Support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and documentation activities.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements.
Represent the organization in district-level meetings and coordination forums.

Essential Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Rural Development, Sociology, Development Studies, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in NGO or development programmes, preferably in child rights, child protection, education, adolescent empowerment, or gender.
Good understanding of child rights, child protection laws and mechanisms, safeguarding principles, and government child protection systems.
Experience working with government departments, schools, community institutions, and civil society organizations.
Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and facilitation skills.
Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluency in Hindi and working knowledge of English.
Willingness to travel extensively within the district.

Preferred Competencies
Knowledge of relevant child protection legislation and government schemes.
Experience in training and capacity building.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Commitment to children's rights, inclusion, and ethical practices.

Salary

Salary will be Rs. 30,000/PM + Rs. 2000/- for conveyance.
