Nari Gunjan (Women’s Voice), founded in 1987 under the leadership of Padmashree awardee Sudha Varghese, is a non-profit organization based in Patna, Bihar. The organization has been working extensively with the Musahar community, focusing on women’s economic empowerment, education, and health. In collaboration with an international agency, Nari Gunjan is implementing a project to mainstream out-of-school children across 5 blocks named Punpun, Bihta, Phulwarisharif, Danapur, Marhaura covering. The Mobile Learning Resource Centre initiative is a unique intervention which is used to create mass scale awareness and reaching out to targeted groups and community. This programme aims to ensure girls are mainstreamed in government schools.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Classroom Observation & Quality Improvement
• Conduct regular classroom observations across assigned Learning Centres.
• Assess lesson planning, classroom management, teaching methodologies, and student engagement.
• Monitor children’s participation, foundational literacy, numeracy, English communication, and logical reasoning skills.
• Observe teachers’ implementation of the Multi-Grade Multi-Level (MGML) approach and activity-based learning.
• Maintain classroom observation records and prepare improvement plans for each teacher.

2. Teacher Coaching & Demonstration
• Conduct demonstration classes to model effective teaching practices.
• Provide one-to-one mentoring and coaching to teachers based on classroom observations.
• Support teachers in:
? Lesson planning
? MGML implementation
? Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN)
? Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) usage
? English communication activities
? Activity-based methodologies
? Classroom management techniques
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor progress and provide additional support.

3. Nutrition & Child Wellbeing

• Oversee nutrition-related activities at the class level and ensure adherence to hygiene protocols.
• Track student health indicators such as attendance, energy levels, and participation linked to nutrition.
• Integrate nutrition awareness into classroom activities.

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Submit fortnightly updates and monthly reports on classroom progress, nutrition outcomes, and teacher performance.
• Document success stories, case studies, and testimonials to highlight program impact.
• Support preparation of records and compliance reports as required by guidelines.

5. Community Engagement

• Assist in beneficiary identification and verification to ensure inclusion of underprivileged and marginalized children.
• Engage with parents and community stakeholders to strengthen support for education and nutrition initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of classroom observations conducted each month.
• Number of demonstration classes delivered.
• Improvement in teacher performance and student learning outcomes.
• Effective use of MGML and TLMs.
• Improvement in English communication and foundational learning.
• Evidence of inclusive practices (Dalit and marginalized children actively participating).
• Nutrition monitoring outcomes (attendance, participation, health indicators).
• Number of success stories documented and shared each quarter.
• Timeliness and quality of reports submitted to Program Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in teacher training, classroom mentoring, or academic programme implementation.
• Strong understanding of FLN, MGML, and nutrition education.
• Experience in community engagement and working with marginalized groups.
• Ability to prepare impact documentation (reports, videos, case studies).
• Familiarity with reporting requirements and compliance processes.

Remuneration
The position carries an honorarium of ?20,000 per month along with a travel allowance of ?5,000 per month, recognizing both the teaching responsibilities and the need for mobility in fulfilling project objectives.
