CONSTRUCTION AGENCY- Upgradation of Government Composite School inHazipur Khera and In-Drain Treatment System in Vilasganj, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India
INTRODUCTION
Hazipur Khera, Agra has been finalised for a school upgradation and Vilasganj for In-drain treatment system projects by CURE to improve the school infrastructure and learning environment to sustain children in school and treating the drain water before draining it into the Kalwari pond. The aim of the project is to enhance school enrolment and participation by improving school infrastructure, especially water and sanitation and to improve the water quality of the Kalwari pond.
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
Founded in 2001, the Centre for Urban and Regional Excellence (CURE) is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing inclusive and sustainable development within India's urban, informal, and low-income communities. Employing a hyperlocal, ecosystem-centered approach, CURE places a strong emphasis on community engagement, valuing residents as crucial partners and leaders. Its initiatives span from facilitating access to vital services such as household toilets and clean water taps to empowering livelihoods through skill development and small-scale enterprises.
SCOPE OF WORK
The infrastructural upgradation of Government Composite School in Kalwari, Agra will involve:
A. HAZIPUR KHERA
- Construction of New child friendly student toilet block- 61.24 m2 area.
- Demolition of old students’ toilet and Construction of new Staff toilet on it- 19.125 m2 area.
- Construction of DEWATS- connected through new student’s toilet block- 12.74 Meters, Approx 22000 Liters capacity.
- Retrofitting of existing Classrooms, Staff office, Kitchen and Storeroom.
- Construction of Rainwater Harvesting Tank- 50,000 Liters Capacity.
- Construction of Three Recharge pits with their filter chambers.
- Two Drinking water platforms.
- One Handwashing platform.
B. VILASGANJ
- In-drain treatment system, Vilasganj including pond Operation and Maintenance.
Extra works like barricading and providing tentage for school students during construction work is also involved.
