The organisation works closely with underprivileged children, women from low-income communities, female sex workers, transgender individuals and other vulnerable communities, with a focus on building dignity, financial independence and sustainable opportunities for long-term social and economic development.

About the Role
The organisation is looking for a motivated and result-oriented Partnership & Fundraising Officer to strengthen its partnership development, fundraising and resource mobilisation efforts.
The role involves identifying and engaging prospective corporate, institutional, foundation and individual donors; developing CSR and strategic partnerships; identifying funding opportunities; preparing proposals, concept notes and grant applications; managing donor communication and follow-ups; supporting fundraising campaigns and events; and maintaining fundraising pipelines, donor databases and documentation.
The position requires a combination of partnership development, donor outreach, proposal writing, relationship management, networking, documentation and systematic follow-up.
This is an urgent hiring requirement. Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement
• Identify and engage potential partners, including corporations, NGOs, government institutions, academia and other relevant stakeholders.
• Research and identify partnership opportunities aligned with the organisation's programmes and funding requirements.
• Initiate discussions with prospective partners and ensure systematic follow-ups.
• Support the development of long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Assist in preparing and coordinating partnership documentation, including MoUs wherever required.
• Strengthen relationships with existing partners through regular communication, programme updates and engagement.
• Network at relevant industry events, forums, donor meetings and stakeholder platforms.
• Explore opportunities for collaboration with peer organisations and other institutions.
2. Fundraising & Resource Mobilisation
• Support the planning and implementation of fundraising and resource mobilisation activities.
• Identify opportunities across corporate CSR, institutional grants, foundations, individual and major donors, sponsorships, crowdfunding and fundraising events.
• Identify, approach and follow up with prospective donors and funding partners.
• Support efforts to diversify funding sources and strengthen programme sustainability.
• Maintain systematic follow-ups with prospective donors throughout the fundraising process.
• Track fundraising leads, commitments, donations and outcomes.
• Contribute towards achieving fundraising and resource mobilisation goals.
3. Donor Research & Lead Generation
• Research and identify prospective corporate, institutional, foundation and individual donors.
• Identify relevant grants, funding calls, sponsorship opportunities and other potential sources of funding.
• Research potential donors and sponsors based on their funding priorities and alignment with organisational programmes.
• Develop and regularly update databases of prospective donors, sponsors, funding opportunities and leads.
• Conduct donor outreach through professional emails, calls, meetings and other appropriate communication channels.
• Maintain accurate records of donor outreach and follow-up activities.
• Visit prospective donors in Pune and beyond, including corporate prospects, institutions, retail establishments and HNIs, as required.
4. Corporate CSR & Institutional Partnerships
• Identify companies and institutions with relevant CSR and funding priorities.
• Initiate engagement with prospective corporate and institutional partners.
• Support preparation of CSR proposals, presentations and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate meetings and follow-ups with corporate and institutional stakeholders.
• Work with internal teams to collect programme, impact and financial information required for CSR proposals and discussions.
• Support the development and strengthening of long-term corporate and institutional partnerships.
5. Proposal, Grant & Concept Note Writing
• Prepare and support the development of funding proposals, grant applications, concept notes, donor presentations and other fundraising documents.
• Research and compile relevant information required for proposals and grant applications.
• Coordinate with programme and finance teams to collect programme details, budgets, impact data and supporting information.
• Ensure proposals and funding applications are professionally prepared, accurate and submitted within required timelines.
• Maintain records of submitted proposals and grant applications and track their status.
• Conduct timely follow-ups on submitted proposals and funding opportunities.
6. Donor Relations & Stewardship
• Build and maintain professional relationships with existing and prospective donors.
• Maintain regular donor communication and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Coordinate donor meetings, visits and engagement activities.
• Support donor appreciation, recognition and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with volunteer and ambassador engagement activities wherever applicable.
• Share relevant programme updates, impact information and success stories with donors.
• Support efforts to strengthen donor retention and develop long-term relationships.
7. Fundraising Campaigns & Events
• Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, digital campaigns, crowdfunding initiatives, peer-to-peer fundraising and other fundraising activities.
• Identify potential sponsors and partners for fundraising campaigns and events.
• Coordinate with internal teams, volunteers, interns, vendors and other stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Support promotional and communication activities related to fundraising campaigns.
• Track campaign outreach, donations, impact and outcomes.
8. Donor Reporting & Documentation
• Support preparation of CSR quarterly reports, project completion reports, donor reports and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with programme teams to collect accurate programme progress and impact information.
• Coordinate with finance teams for relevant financial information required for donor reporting.
• Maintain proper documentation related to donors, grants, proposals, donations and fundraising activities.
• Ensure donor reports and supporting documents are accurate, professional and completed within agreed timelines.
• Maintain professional and error-free communication across stakeholder platforms.
9. CRM & Fundraising Pipeline Management
• Create, maintain and regularly update databases of donors, prospects, sponsors, funding opportunities and partnership leads.
• Record donor interactions, meetings, follow-ups, proposal submissions and outcomes systematically.
• Use CRM tools, digital platforms and data-tracking systems wherever applicable.
• Track fundraising and partnership opportunities from initial identification through outreach, follow-up and closure.
• Maintain organised records to support fundraising planning, monitoring and reporting.
10. Impact Stories & Communication
• Coordinate with programme teams to identify beneficiary success stories, programme achievements and impact.
• Support the development of beneficiary success stories and impact narratives for donors and communication purposes.
• Coordinate with the communications team for fundraising and donor-engagement content.
• Ensure external communication is professional, accurate and aligned with organisational requirements.
11. Networking & External Representation
• Participate in donor meetings, networking forums, fundraising events and relevant sector events.
• Build professional networks with corporates, institutions, foundations, NGOs, government, academia and other potential partners.
• Represent the organisation professionally during external meetings and outreach activities as required.
• Identify networking opportunities that can generate new fundraising leads and strategic partnerships.
• Travel within Pune and beyond for donor meetings, fundraising activities and partnership development as required.
12. Internal Coordination
• Work closely with programme, communications and finance teams for effective execution of fundraising and partnership activities.
• Coordinate internally for timely collection of information required for proposals, presentations and donor reports.
• Support fundraising staff, volunteers and interns during outreach, campaigns and events wherever required.
• Participate in internal reviews and provide regular updates on fundraising leads, partnerships and donor follow-ups.
• Undertake other relevant responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Candidates with qualifications in Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management or related disciplines will be preferred.
• A Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
Professional Experience
• 3–5 years of overall professional experience, preferably in the social/development sector, nonprofit organisations, CSR, fundraising, partnerships, business development, external relations or related areas.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in fundraising, resource mobilisation, partnership development, corporate CSR engagement, donor relations, institutional fundraising, grant management or a closely related function is required.
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical experience in areas such as donor acquisition and outreach, corporate/CSR partnerships, proposal and grant writing, institutional fundraising, donor relationship management, fundraising campaigns or stakeholder engagement.
• Candidates with a strong and proven track record of successfully mobilising funds or developing corporate/institutional partnerships will be given preference.

Compensation
Up to Rs 6 LPA.
Compensation is negotiable for suitable candidates with strong and proven relevant experience in fundraising, resource mobilisation, partnership development, corporate CSR, institutional grants or donor management.
Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, demonstrated fundraising and partnership capabilities, and overall suitability for the position.
Location & Joining
The position is based in Wadgaon Sheri, Pune, Maharashtra, and requires working on-site.

The selected candidate should be willing to travel within Pune and beyond as required for donor meetings, partnership development, fundraising outreach, networking events and other organisational requirements.
