Patient Experience and Satisfaction Survey Interviewer (OCBA Asia Mission)
Background:
Doctors Without Borders India (DWBI)/Médecins Sans Frontières provides medical assistance during natural and manmade disasters through establishment of healthcare centres, implementing medical programs for critical illnesses on its own or with partners, working for creating medical awareness and capacity building and carry out/sponsor research to provide strategic input on relevant medical treatment options in India.
DWBI offers assistance to people in need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
GENERAL:
Location: Zokhawthar, Champhai (Mizoram)

Salary: INR 30,250
Main purpose of Post:
To understand the patient’s experiences and their level of satisfaction with the health care provided in supported DWBI facilities, in the frame of quality-of-care monitoring and continuous improvement, in Zokhawthar Clinic- MIZORAM project.
Functional and Hierarchical Lines:
The position is hierarchically and functionally answerable to Health Promotion and Community Engagement (HPCE) Manager respectively.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Able to conduct interviews in an independent, neutral, and non-judgmental manner, without influencing patients' responses.
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patients and the information collected.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to explain the purpose of the survey and obtain informed consent before the interview.
• Respect a patient's decision to participate or decline without any impact on their access to care.
• Able to follow the questionnaire and interview procedures exactly as trained, without modifying questions or adding personal opinions.
• Willing to participate in mandatory training before starting data collection.
• Able to report any confidentiality, ethical, or safeguarding concerns identified during the survey.
• Have no known conflict of interest, including being a family member of a patient or being directly involved in patient care.
• Be available for the entire duration of the activity, including training and data collection days.
• Be willing and able to work on weekends and public holidays during the survey period.
Requirements:
Education:
• Minimum Higher Secondary (Class 12) education required.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in social sciences/ social work or a related field is desirable. Experience
• Previous experience in conducting surveys, interviews, data collection, research, or community-based activities is desirable.
• Experience working with NGOs, humanitarian organizations, health programmes, or community projects is an asset.
• Previous experience using electronic data collection tools is desirable. Languages
• Essential: Fluent in English, Mizo, Tedim and Burmese Knowledge Competencies
